Imagine if every lvl 180+ on a serverall of the sudden transferred to your server, with all of their gear, lux, and aggy/mordris drops, and they all joined together into one clan and started dominating the server, killing mordris/hrung/aggy, ruling the Sreng spawn, and completely ruining the previous clans that were on the server, along with blocking out all the other high levels that were on the server for years past.

Would you want that?

Who would want to do that though? There would have to be certain limitations on what could be transferred but other than that id love to have wolrd xfers. Would be nice having some friends from other servers join us in Taranis.

I did post the above as a joke. The problem with easy unlimited world transfers is that it would destabilize the already unstable and volitile economies. Also it would create cross world clans which could easily do as regen posted. likely all mordris, aggy, hrung, and even necro eventually would be locked out on all worlds.

Perhaps a once per year xfer for a large sum of plat with limited item transfer could work. But outside of that I think it would make a giant spectral storm.

i think a world transfer could be done. Make it a quest that could start after level 60. You kill one boss a day like shadow armour then after 10 days you get the transfer item. That means you have to spend 10 days before each transfer. This would slow the rate down and keep economies a little more stable yet give options for making new friends. Making it plat based would force it into the hands of the rich.

The main reason they don't do this is because it would completely wreck the individual server economies.

For example, on some worlds there may only be like 2-3 rad earthstone breastplates, that are worth about 1m each. If people on a different world with rad es bps transferred to that world, the price would go down. That might not be a very good example, but it works for any item, if more items of that kind were put in the world, the value would go down too. Some people might not see this happening, but I am about 90% sure this won't be happening.

People have suggested that the auction house go cross-server, but there hasn't been any confirmation or denial from OTM on that.
This is both a very ridiculous argument against and shows a lack of understanding in economy. The world transfer system would cause all economies to balance themselves, and I'm also not sure how it would ruin something that's already broken.
If there are 10 worlds with 100 rares and 10,000 people let this be known as demand: 1=100:10,000, if all the economies were merged(which is what a world transfer system will basically achieve) then the the proportion will still be the same, 1,000:100,000 or demand:1. If the supply and demand ratio is maintained there would be no drastic change in prices, despite what some may think. Also, what makes you think worlds are unique? Every world kills the same bosses which have the same loot tables, so I'm not quite sure what you're suggesting? Maybe some worlds have super Aggy gear like Godly Firefang rings?

No. Just no.

You make it sound like everyone will spend several hundred plat just to buy the different items. The demand is still the same but the supply will be different. If there was a server wide auction house it would the problem.

But currently the only way to have server transfer is to make all items on transfer "NO TRADE" which would solve all problems. The only exceptions would be permanent luxury items, gold and luxury items.

I probably didnt explain it very well but i hope you get the point...

I think if server transfers are added, the chance of a super clan happening is a big threat, which may put of new players ever having any motivation to play the game.

Also I'm sure there would also be the added problem that some players will continually jump servers to get spawns of bosses on each world, unless the transfer is implemented as a one time only thing.

I think if server transfers are added, the chance of a super clan happening is a big threat, which may put of new players ever having any motivation to play the game.

Also I'm sure there would also be the added problem that some players will continually jump servers to get spawns of bosses on each world, unless the transfer is implemented as a one time only thing.
Server transfer wouldnt obviously be free and the fact of a 'super clan' is very unlikely.

Why would tops clans leave thier own world which they are already dominating in and risk fightning it out with the other clan on that server. Sounds kind of absurd doesnt it? Another thing is it wouldn't be cheap to transfer a whole clan to different server and estimating a 800-1400 plat cost per transfer with a limit per year that adds up when you got 50+ members in a clan.

Im a huge +1 for server transfers. It would be amazing to have that as an option.

This question has been asked so may times, and honestly cannot be asked enough. We desperately need server transfers. Not just for our sake, but for OTM's bottom line. Just yesterday I had a friend wanting me to help in a server transfer. By the end of the day he discovered that it was too difficult to do it, and he decided to just quit the game. If OTM wants to retain customers, they need to put this in place.

As far as people saying that this will affect CH negatively (scammers, super clans, etc), look at other games that do server transfers. OaC does them and they are just fine.

I know it wouldn't be free, and that a super clan is unlikely, but it is a possibility. I'm in no way against server transfers, I just think it needs to be implemented correctly like other people have said (ie. one or two transfers a year, make it not to expensive, but enough platinum.)
