Cuz they are to lazy or really mean kids who don't like to do anything. Well, I for 1 have been scammed but it was only 11k but still, I don't like scanners. My friend precision was warning us on general discussion about the website some kids made saying "put this in you'll get free plat sign up now" I was like that's a scam right away I warned everyone so did precision. So, comment post and pm me, also add me on world arawn I'm benes and benesX.

I'm not a psychologist so I can't try to understand these folks, but in any MMO, there are several types of players: Some players play for levels and items, some play for socialization, and some play to cheat and steal from other players.

As everyone else thinks, I hate scammers. A lot.
I'm pretty smart about things and if I feel like I am going to get scammed I will exit trade and call the person out on it.
Thankfully in the update they are going to do more to prevent scammers.
The thing is, in any game like this you are going to have people who try to scam because they are too lazy to earn the items/money.

Because, they have no flippin lives. Because they have no lives, they don't have anything better to do... D:
They get pleasure from stealing and other people's sufferings.
I honestly don't know. They just don't have a sense of honour.
But even the slightest kind of wavering, I dislike. Like people say, you should scam people, it's just a game. That's probably the dumbest thing they could say.
It's just that there are people in this world...always. Somewhere. You will find people who just don't want to do as they are supposed to.

There's an undercurrent of counterculture in any community. And it's simple, it's profiteering done off the straight and narrow. This game has the benefits of having strong encryption, something quite a few other iOS MMO's don't have. Other MMO's such as "Order & Chaos" have hacking rings that break the encryption cipher, steal into accounts and either completely liquidate them of their gold or steal the account and resell it.

This does 2 things. 1st it let's them run a 3rd Party gold-seller website which sells both accounts and gold (with supposed "legitimacy" as long as no one thinks of where they get it) & 2nd after they sell the account they literally can rehack it 4-6 weeks down the line and re-liquidate and resell it.

In this game, it's purely roadside muggers not crime syndicates. So as long as you are smart and savvy you are entirely immune to them. They prey, like all muggers do, on the naive, weak, and slow.

This should empower our community, but unfortunately too many of us are naive, weak and slow.

Go figure.

Why do people rob banks? Greed. No offense to those who have been scammed, but it's your fault. Don't trust every person you see and you won't get scammed.

I think there is not only type of scammers here are the ones i faced with :
1) the guys who offer u some junk but say tht it's a very valuable thing exmple : there was a guy in gwydion who offered me a Winer King spear but when i looked at it in trade i saw tht it was ancient spear only (lol) advice how to avoid such things : just look at what u are buying attentievly.
2)impersonators : these are the worst ones i think , they tell u tht they are some high lvls or friends and ask u to lend them gold or some items. Advice : ask them to bring their main character.
so don’t know any other types coz im kinda a happy person but always make sure tht everything is ok before pushing ready to trade

Why do people scam?

It's the same reason why they KS, curse, threaten, and talk #$*&. MMORPG's (and the internet for that matter) is a nameless and faceless universe. You can say or do just about anything and not face any physical consequences for your actions. I guarantee that a vast percentage of these cowards wouldn't dare act how they do in person for fear of retribution.

It serves to note that this behavior isn't just something children and teens display. You need look no further than your CNN or any online news source to see adults blasting negative comments and hate speak at each other in the discussion areas. In fact, kids actually tend to behave better than these so-called adults... another one of the unfortunate ironies of the information age i guess.

Well here is my question to the scammers:

If you wouldnt do it in real life, why would you do it in a game?

And scammers dont realise it but they can be scamming people of money they spent on the game for the gold or item and then get scammed of it by these ruthless and evil people who have no mind of what they are really doing.

It doesnt just hurt people but can drive them to quit a game they would love... and if the scammers love it, then it would suck for them because with so many people they scam and drive them to quit..... The game cant run then, because with no players who actually pay and work hard to play this game it cant support than with all the lazy scammers, but luckily through knowledge many have learned how to avoid scams and take ways around it.

So if your a scammer then i feel deeply sorry for you, because even if you think "Hey ill just scam these people, trade to a dif acc then delete this, then quit for a while and come back and no one will remember me" it wont work... because you probably left a big scar on that person and that person will never forget who you are and what you did. Same with the people whom were shared the info of who scammed their friend.

So think of it like this, if you scam.... your game life can basicaly be over and done with, because no one will forget you and will be shared. Especialy when you scam your own clan member in one of the biggest clans.... That clan is sure to have all eyes to destroy you... and ruin your game so you may never progress.

wow honestly the scamming in celtic heroes is soo pethetic, i dont see how people fall for it soo easily. For new players its understandable because they dont quite get it but still have some sence. And those who keep getting scammed are just stupid.
I have never been scammed and it was attempted on me several times but i never fell for it, not even when i ever heard of such a thing.
