I'm a rogue, and have a mage cousin, so i know the problems that ice mages have. Rogues and mages compete for dps, rogues sneaky is uneveadable and a nuke, so ice shards should be uneveadable too, other wise rogues can easily out dps mages.

Uneveadable ice shards will lower the problems ice mages have, like using pots. My cousin used enough energy regn pots to fill up mine 10times

Right now 53. Have a warrior alt, 101

Cousin's a lvl 90 ice mage, and he can kill me in arena if he catches me off guard

28/25 ice blast
25/25 ice shards
37/25 ice attune
13/25 lure of ice
17/25 fire ball
I have a lot of rings and boots that give plus to skills

Never really tried icemage myself, but I have seen some other forum users do well with ice mages. That being said, I am sure they have some problems of their own.

Being an ice Mage is fun, but a huge money sink if your not group leveling. I curently run 1000 sigs and still will have to stop between mob kills to let my energy recharge. It can be done without sigs but you need to take your time between mobs, which hurts if your using xp lixes. The other option is to use energy lixes. Depending on your world you can get them for cheep and they can help a ton with the energy problem. When I started got a lot of good advice from past post on the topic so read them and see if your equiptment matches of of the sugested builds and then try it.
