Celtic Heroes

Now I have shown this build to many 190s and now they are getting kills faster and winming bosses a lot more then when they used to. Some of the items I have can easily be switched out but at the cost of less dps. Keep in mind ill use either super combos or hh and sk/hk when using this build. Keep in mind that this doesnt replace armos just a build I have done that works for many.

Stats:
Vitality: I went to 200 vit and stayed there.
Focus. Keep about 3/2 focus/vit until you have around 200 vitality then your going to want to put the rest in focus.

Equipment:
Armor: I strongly suggest using frozen I used this until dl as obs gives fire and so does es. Plus frozen gives you a set bonus. And beastbone for mage im not a fan of for ice build.

Weapon: now this is where I got my main dps, I used a snowbound candycane with a primal blade. Now snowbound cane gives the proc to do 1k dmg also with primal blade you can hit up to 600 dmg each hit. This can easily be substituted out for just doing h2h but most likely at the cost of less dmg. I prefer primal blade instead of axe because it gives regen and if your using the one that got taken out of shop gives you a free res pot. Ofc you can use axe for more dps but keep in mind the more focus you keep up the more dmg you do with spells. Say your doing a dl boss though. I recommend a wand or aggy grim or whatever the heck you want to use because the candycane isnt good for bossing.

Jewelry: For ammy I prefer the 1m focus ammy/spectral tali. These 2 ammys are a wonder for casters esp mages. These can easily be subbed out for the earth/star tali ofc. Bracelets try and get a couple mage aggy bracelets. I had a shards bracelets and was using imperial blade bracelet (+9 slash) which added about 70 dmg to my overall stat. Rings I swapped between royal shards, royal blast, royal attune, and minor dragon ring of ice lure. Obviously I have a lot more funds then a few reading this guide but I recommend getting higher tier rings and bracelets for max dps.

Skills: For the best ice mage possible max:
Ice attune
Ice shards
Ice blast
E shield
Half your points in ice lure
and the rest in sacrifice as it is little health for a lot of energy and that can save your from dying. You dont have to max eshield but I enjoy using it as you dont have to worry about hp rather then killing your mob at 2 hits max.
Freeze is pretty obsolete now and so is frostbite but I have seen a few high lvl ice mages using it saying they love it. Not to great imo though.

Wouldn't a candycane not be good to boss because of the aoe the dl and end bosses have? And dl would be better then frozen, it has ice magic and set bonus also

Yeh I was in the car as I was typing this lmao its still a work in progress ill fix it later when im home. Also forgot to say I used an aggy grim against bosses.

That is helpful. How much focus did you have when you tested these?
A comparison of the energy costs during the 2 min might be interesting too.

The focus is listed. I had 1665 focus for both. I have a 75 focus ice shards brace that I used in both setups. I also have a shadow grim. That is why you can see my Ice is higher than my fire. I haven't maxed my fire ability because I haven't used in awhile.

I normally don't use frostbite or incinerate because I need those skill points in shield.

I use ice with max lure to give my team better odds at locking DL bosses. 6 star DL bosses lock within 20 seconds on Rhiannon, super annoying and frustrating when usually only one Snorri spawns a day. Missing that lock hurts.

With 40 energy shield, 35 base and +5 from DL legs, I have around 2410 protection and 1660 health. I can survive damage up to 4,000. I normally don't die in DL fights because I stay outside of ale range for most of the fight. I cast, then move back. I only have 10 vitality base points with an 80 bonus from a 80 focus/vit brace.

Ah okay, I did not see the focus. Yeah i am generally leery of having my hp so low. Im lures with bolt and freeze atm because we need freezes for mordy and im lvling my rogue atm.

Ice Blast used to hit a lot harder, making Ice comparable to fire in DPS. They nerfed it for some odd reason. I think people that find PvP important in this game thought it was overpowered and complain. You can still see people complain about ice in pvp, it makes no sense.

Yep, hit around 30% harder than it does now.
