I had an interesting conversation with some Danu veterans, most of which could not answer this question.

Who was the Chief and salient members of an old Clan that was called Defiant?

I saw a member of defiant a few months ago. But the leader is most likely inactive nowadays

For as long as i remember Somar was the leader of Defiant.
Back in those days Defiant and ChosenOnes were top and they hated eachother. Words cannot decribe the hate between them, it is like prime and unbreak times 129420.
Reaper was chief of Chosen and Somar was chief of Defiant.
It lasted a long while but eventually many Defiant members left to join ChosenOnes and Defient began its downfall.
At this time Somar was on a break or may have quit (to soon return for a short time) idk wat he was doin. Whilst Defient was sinking Clandeathtine was the chief and did all he could to keep the clan goining but unfortanately it was to late.
Reaper the chief of Chosen left aswell (to later return for a short time in v4) and Cheech took the throne.
Very soon after Cheech created Prime!!!! All the rest of Defiant and all of ChosenOnes went to Prime to make it wat it is today.
Many old legends crawled out of the ashes in v3 and 4 such as Reaper, Rjgrunner and others.

I have missed out many small details but thats basicly wat happened. To answer your Q... Somar was prodomantly chief of Defiant
"Edit" Big memebers of Defiant were the old REM/Remyo, Cland (Clandeathtine), Skywarrior??? pls tell me if he was Chosen or not. And many others. Sorry i cant remember it was so long ago. OHHH! I forgot me!!! hahaha jks. I was in Defiant but i was lvl 60-70. High lvls were 90+ back them. My idols My biggest idols were Rygnor, Confuzz and LoneWolf

Arachnid - that's pretty interesting thanks. I wonder what it says about this game that only one of the toons you mentioned (Cheech) are still playing.

When i began playing in Christmas 2011 sonar was inactive chief of defiant Rem was the acting chief but has title of general, Cheech was chief on chosenones from what i was told ( since i wasnt member if chosenones) and i know cheech ran choosen ones at that time. The clans were about equal at that time with each getting bosses. Rem decided to retire just as v3 was coming out, and him and cheech decided to merge clans to be able to handle the new bosses in v3. For most part the merge went over well without many glitches. Each old clan still had there groups inside prime they trusted more than eachother but in long run all seemed to get along pretty well.

Reaper was chief of ChosenOnes for the most part. He was quite inactive beacuse he was in trouble at school alot. Ik this beacuse Lonewolf was Reapers best friend in rl and Lone was my best friend ingame and he told me. But Smeag is right... REM was a guardian and took Somars job whilst he was gone (which was all the time ). These 2 clans were around a long time and were neck and neck untill REM desided to merge. I rememeber Cheech being very hesitant to be chief but was convinced by everyone to do it, as she was a natural leader. Somar came back later to find everyone in Prime so he joined.

And PoDatz... Cheech is the one of the only ones left beacuse she is persistant and has always strived to be the best she can be. The others quit coz they didnt like update or just got bored. She was the highest lvl in danu throughout v1, 2, 3 but was overtaken in v4 by Beattz, but she is still in top 5. Im not trying to lick her boots, y would i? i retired. She is one of the greatest players

I can still remember when Skywarrior got the first Warden weap of Danu. It was as expected that Sky would get first but, it was a big event.
And Reaper nearlly got a full set of astral before anyone else in danu got a piece, ChosenOnes liked to equip Chief with the best first.

If I remember correctly, Death was the first major clan in Danu. Z was chief, and clandeathtine and deathdruid were ranked. Soon, however, Legion became the dominant clan. I don't remember who the chief of Legion was, but they disbanded when one highly regarded player left, causing a mass exodus. Defiant was formed with Somar as chief. Soon after, Reaper decided to form a new clan called DragonBorn with Lonewolf, Vivi, and myself. That didn't pan out too well, and we then formed ChosenOnes. Cheech became chief after Reaper got into some trouble, and eventually Defiant merged with ChosenOnes into Prime.

There you have it, the history of Danu in 8 sentences.

I actually remember trying this game for the first time and i ran into someone from one of the 2 clans and noobly asked if i could get in. they rejected me and then i took a 1 n a half year break and now i play this version of the game! (Why im lvl 73)

If you want the full story it started from v1 with Z who created Death along with Boudicca, Clandeatine and Deathdruid/Similous and Somar and a few others but their was also Legion around aswell leaded by lonewolf, reaper, Noxus, Xlaben and myself and a few others for quite some time but their was McLyan who was solo for the whole time and then A lot of Deaths members became unactive so Z,Somar, Clandeatine, Ra, and death druid and a few others that were active created Defiant and Cheech wasn't highest lvl or in v1 it was Reaper and McLyan and Somar who reached lvl 60

V2 was when Legion had its downfall and it disbanded with Reaper, Lone, Vivi and Gala and Cheech and a few others including myself created DragonBorn which didn't last well with lonewolfs downfall with other members so Reaper,Vivi,Cheech and galactic and a few others left to create Chosenones which had a rise in power along with Defiant beside them rising in power aswell, both the clans rules v2 and at the end Somar and Reaper and a others became inactive of the 2 top tier clans so Cheech and Remyo of chosenones and defiant setted their differences to combine together to make Prime to compete with the new update oncoming and so they both ruled all of v3 and and atm still are in v4
