2handed weapons have been broken since update 3 came out, plain and simple.
And no plans to fix them any time soon.
Re: Staves need attention!
#12Yeah I totally agree. Staves are totally useless and needs to be buffed.
Re: Staves need attention!
#13Maybe crafting will solve this issue.
I think there will be a way to imbue a good craft/spell/stat to weapons. By this, we could actually make a good use of a 2h weap, not just staves but also swords, mauls and greataxes.
In other rpgs, let's say Fire Emblem (the last three), there is a blacksmith before each mission (and during a mission if the map has a vendor). Here you can pay gold to make a weapon to have more hit ratio, critical hit ratio and/or more dmg. There are also limits/slots. In the last Fire Emblem, you could only add a total of 10 points between the three stats I mentioned before.
It would be awesome if we could Reduce Attack Speed, add dmg (physical and elemental), add a proc skill, and more stuff, using N-uses runes (the better the rune the less its uses).
Now with the 2h weaps, let them get better bonuses than a main hand weap with the same type of rune: A lvl 1 fire dmg rune adds 5 heat dmg to a main hand, 10-15 heat dmg to 2h. Also let the 2h weaps have more slots for crafting than a main hand weap.
I've got more ideas about this ^^ ... Crafting makes lotsa things possible![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Re: Staves need attention!
#14I like the idea of runes to go with staves. Staff/rune combinations could have potential for specializing.
Just an idea: all runes have a set energy regen by tier with the exception of regen-specific runes which would have significantly more regen. Each rune, having meaning of some sort could add a great bonus to one specific stat, skill, or ability. For example, a fire warding rune could act as a great fire shield (heat resist).
As for 2h weapons in general, upping the physical damage bonus(es) would most likely do it. Double the size, double the hands, why not double the damage? No other bonuses; just damage. Other bonuses are for lux.

#15I would prefer 'fixing' but if it is not fixed at least make the boe weapons from druids totems
