Dear Keri, I would like to apply for your vacancy for a male slave to serve your Ladies Of Avalon Cookery Group (and also undertake washing 'lacy' items). Although not a young stud, I am well domesticated and even know that woollen clothing must be done on an almost cold wash. As to washing lacy items, I presume these must be hand washed, rather like cashmere? I am willing to work long hours (if you can possibly describe it as 'work'), and my only request is that any ladies in my presence desist from wearing any low cut tops (as this will have a dire effect on my ability to assist in kitchen duties).
On a more serious note, I love the way you have incorporated flowers, such as pansies, in some of your culinary creations Keri, and your wedding cake must have looked absolutely stunning. My Anne baked several times every week; it was fantastic to walk in doors to the warm, heady scent of lemon fairy cakes, orange and lemon sponge cake, Madeira cake, chocolate cake and her gingerbread was absolutely devine. She also made fantastic curries (from scratch, as in grinding the different spices using a mortar and pestle). Her French casserole was to die for, so was her lemon meringue pie......it was amazing I didn't end up 20 stone come to think of it! On my birthday she always made my favourite cake of all, a vast coffee walnut cake. She could never eat her cakes or desserts as she was diabetic so any sweet dishes she made were always given to friends (which meant I only got a little). I would always cut the coffee walnut cake in half and give one half to my farmer pal. I still can't seem to let go of all her baking equipment; it has become now like a small, hidden memorial to her. She would have loved to have joined your cookery group (she was down to earth, funny as hell and much more intelligent than me, so I am sure she would have got enough votes!).
I am thinking that if Avalon have a vacancy for a Tea Boy, I might apply (even though I will be an 'old' Tea Boy). Or maybe I could turn up in a cyber ice cream van and serve light refreshments and ice cream sundaes to you all after you have killed Mordis. I wonder if this last paragraph is going to annoy anyone? :-)
PS. KILT....on the grounds that you are a dear chap, I am willing to job share... LOL
