Just don't get scammed, its really simple, and OTM gives all these options for you to not get scammed.


1. Don't trust strangers with anything, sometimes even if you think you wouldn't scam you end up doing it because its right before your eyes. What I mean is not all scammers ever intended to scam. After a year long relationship in a game, it might be okay to trust a friend with an item or two to hold it or transfer it. I've even seen real life relationships finish because one ass scams his friend.

2. There is an "are you sure" button. Check the items you are trading before pressing yes.

3. On all the loading screens, and on the forums there are so many warnings about scam that I don't know how people miss them.

4. Support cannot help you because of this: If they refunded every penny you got from someone you claimed scammed you, game would be effed. People could fake being scammed, there would be groups of scammers working together, and so on.

How can OTM refund someone they do not know scammed? Honestly, think a little.

If anyone gives this person 5k, he/she will never learn, and expect people to give money gladly.

It is just like in the real world.. If you lose a large sum of money it may have already been spent so they cannot do anything to retrieve the sum. And you'll learn that 5k is not a lot. And it is pretty much impossible to get scammed money unless you are really trusting of a person.

And we are not rude, we just know the rules and expect other players to know them too..

They help with other problems (well not all the time...) but not scamming, they say all trades are final. It's like they support scammers.

There's no proof that he was scammed and it's not the type of situation people want to get into. I have people on my world who lose dicing then call the host a scammer and expect that they'll get their money back. Think about it, if OTM was handing everyone free gold because they sai they were scammed we'd have absolute unfathomable economies. Explain how not wanting to inject more gold into the game supporting scammers? I swear you people are nuts.

What happens if OTM bans someone because of a lie? Nobody seems to har good solid evidence of being scammed either anyways, just a few swears back and forth. Guess what happens when you go to court to sue someone with no proof against them? Your claim is denied and you're SOL. That being said I don't think people want to get involved in scams regardless, there's a reason it's said that ALL TRADES ARE FINAL!

I wish you gl in earning 5k. It'll be one hell of a long road ahead of you, or a single kill of atrisal.

It is a well-established and well advertised rule that all trades are final. It's your decision to hand over gold and it's up to you to read the guidelines before playing the game. OTM give users as much help and warning as you need, but they can't follow every user around to ensure that they don't make mistakes. It sounds harsh, but we sometimes learn the hard way.It's happened to me and it's happened to most users here on the forums. You just need to be more vigilent next time.
