Sure there are a handful of collectors in all worlds, who like to buy rares, but the game environment isnt really suited for that aspect of mmos to be popular and widespread. The insanely ridiculous lux store prices, the event mounts and other plat sinks coupled with the difficulty of earning gold dont help cultivate a market for rare items. People would always spend their gold buying lux (necessary) gear and elixirs first.Let me edit that
