There is plenty of evidence that there is an intelligent being out there who created us. If you don't believe that, then look around you. If you still don't believe, look at how the Bible fits into itself. No other book has that many prophets, views, and statements that agree with each other. It conforms with history perfectly(not counting creation, as since you don't believe in that, you would count it as a descrepincy. There has never been a time when people did not believe in God, not in the Dark ages, not during the Flood(which has plenty of evidence for it by the way(how did sea shells get on top of mountains? Also, the fossils under the earth are layered in the exact manner we would expect if there was a world wide flood.) The Bible matches up exactly with real science. It is evolution that does not match up with the scientific message. It has not been observed, nor is thereany fossil evidence for it. The chances of it occurring are so minute it is not even funny. The Bible can fit into any developments that science makes while evolution tries to explain even the laws of thermodynamics. I am tired of people saying that creationism is not scientific. It is. I am not a moron(against popular belief). I do not deny reality. I just accept what science has proven correct(aka creationism) and reject what it has proven wrong(aka evolution).
Actually the oldest found colony is 35 thousand years old and have no idea of what a god is. And the bible doesnt fit into anything science says, evolution is a case in point of that, the bible has very little external evidences. And you seem to think that if one small part of the bible is true it must all be true.

Bennacio I only sensed a disturbance in the force.
I think you meant a disturbance in the farce.

Just out of curiosity, does that colony remember at all that they were apes at one point? Also I doubt that there is very good evidence for them being 35,000 years old. Also, I do not believe the Bible because one thing it said was true, I believe it because everything it says is true. And stop trying to say that because the Bible doesnt agree with evolution, its wrong. People said that Galileo was wrong for disagreeing with Aristotle because Aristotle was firmly rooted in their minds. Now im not saying that cnt work both ways. You could very easily say that im the person who would disagree with Galileo and I have very little doubt that you will.

All we can do in the debate between the model of evolution and the model of creationism, is see which one has the better evidence. Neither can be tested. For instance, I cannot observe evolution occurring today(dont point me to different animals that have adapted to different things. For instance, a wolf and a poodle are very different, but they are still part of the canine family). And you cannot observe creationism occurring. It is like a courtroom imo. Evidence is poured in from all sides.

One further thing: I still have a much better deal than you. If im right, Im going to heaven. If im wrong, Ill fade away into nothingness. But if you are right, granted you get nothingness, but if your wrong you sure dont get heaven.

But to be honest, the only thing that really matters is whether Jesus is God(and a few other things; im not going to go into detail right now, but that is the main point). You can believe in evolution and still be a Christian. You will be wrong, but you can believe that.

There is evidence for evolution; please see previous unanswered posts.

Your analogy is misused. You would be the very same religious view that tried to hide Galileo. Galileo offered a new idea that was only disagreeable due to religion.

Here, yes. All we can do is debate. However, in all of society, evolution has evidence that has been presented and deemed most probable the scientific community and even a majority of the developed world.

I have a inquiry in regards to evolution and adaptation. Based on what is written above, I would say you agree adaptation can occur. Well then, what is to stop adaptation from continuing to occur. We have seen multiple adaptations. What would stop them building up until there is a new species? We know populations can adapt, which in general we call evolution, and enough adaptations would yield a species that is no longer fully able to mate with others of a common ancestor.

We consider bacteria to be a form of life that is capable of compiling adaptations so fast, perfectly fitting the idea of natural selection (survival of the fittest). We still use a common name, such as "the common cold" because there is resemblance but with enough changes, such bacteria would become another "species."

So if there is nothing to stop the continuous build up of adaptations to a point of irregular zygote formation, why would that not be called evolution? And if it can occur in fish, bacteria, etc, why not for humans?
One further thing: I still have a much better deal than you. If im right, Im going to heaven. If im wrong, Ill fade away into nothingness. But if you are right, granted you get nothingness, but if your wrong you sure dont get heaven.
Truth needs no childish incentive as "the better deal."

However, I would point out that we continue on in our offspring and their offspring after that. Think back to my idea of the immortality of humanity.

Pascals wager is pretty stupid. I mean really stupid. If you want an argument to follow Christianity.

First off the wager assumes equal odds which is nonsense. In fact if you look at evidence one is a fleeting nothingness and the other near absolute certanity. Would you risk wasting your one life to all that nonsense if you had the same chance to go to heaven as winning every single lottery while losing not a single one on the planet for the next 1000 years? Selling yourself yourself out of this life for an imaginary second one is the greatest scam possible - this life and existence is infinitely valuable - not some imagined farce.

Second Jesus will send you to hell for putting other gods above him. Its pretty much a commandment. Other religions don't require this. Since no one knows what god (if any lol) exists it makes far more sense to load up on the gods that are ok with it to bolster your odds. Believing in Christianity makes the least sense - there is no evidence for any god over another whatsoever so the wager you mention is reason to disbelieve in Christianity.

The entire thing is meant to make already believing people more comfortable with their reality denial not try to teach flawed game theory to educated atheists.

Oh and it's pretty funny to watch religious people talk about thermodynamics when they can't even explain its basic principles or even describe what heat is.

Unless your intrigued and want to understand something moe, this topic is as useless as the comment section in youtube (ongoing debates on gun restriction laws(at least thats politics so its beneficial), wheter god is real or not, or whether cod is better than halo

Both sides, stop pushing your religious beliefs... If your an athiest cool, just don't be an a**hole. Don't tell other people what they should believe in.. Btw without religion, the world wouldnt function, there would be more crime, less hope, and disorder along with chaos because some people only live for their religious beliefs, so don't be pushing your "facts" or "logic". Did you even see the number of pages this thread is? Smh ppl smh

So you believe god because he offers the best deal? Im sure your god looks kindly on that one reason to follow him.
