some personal concerns about dicing drops

#1
I've been passing on a big amount of drops from Mordris Hrungnir Aggy for a reason.

We're dicing a warrior helm at Hrungnir. i ask about the stats of the helm whether it's a strength or vitality helm, i get no answer of the description.
so i just pass assuming it's strength while i needed a vitality helm.

We're dicing a warrior brace at Mordris, i ask about the stats of the brace if it was melee ability or just skill, i get no answer so i just pass again,
fearing i might end up with a terrible drop.

Then there was that day at Mordris where the dm tried to dice a drop that is non class before a warrior drop, i try to suggest that please we need to dice the class drop first. Some mage friend agrees with me and says the same thing that we should dice the class drop first. then suddenly some dps at the fight tells me in area chat "STFU let the dm do his job".

Then at aggy, some druid brace spring of life, i really want to know if it has focus in it so that i dice, or vitality so that i pass, i ask about the full stats there is no answer i end up passing again.

I know that we are in a hurry to dice and people start saying please hurry i need to go. If you are too impatient to stay and dice then please don't become abusive and tell people to shut up, just ask somebody else to dice for you and leave.

I'm aware that more than 6 dm who usually do the dicing, check this forum. Please would you be considerate to give us generous drops descriptions in the future?

Thank you. No offense to no one.

It used to be a requirement to label the stats that change, ie aggy trident, vit/str/dex, and Dark/Shadow/Void.

While i try to do this, i may forget, if someone does ask for stats, i will reply, provided i see it. I too prefer to know stats before i dice. Especially if they compliment my build.

Now ive seen a fair few people, rush people, saying hurry i need to go, or hurry battery low. If this happens just nominate someone ask them or the dm to roll for you.

If you win the drop, the dm will mail you it or give to the player you asked to dice, if you dont recieve the drop, assume you lost the roll.

The dicemaster is entitled to as much time as they need to get things sorted. They also have the over all power. If someone is being repetitively disruptive ie dicing when they dont need to or talking over dm (aside from grats'). The dm can temprarily BAN the player from that dicing. Players usually shut up after a warning, hence i have had no need to ban a player.

I'm talking about 3 specific incidents where the description was not told in detail, the dm was saying "warriors prepare to dice" this is where i asked for details another time and there was no answer again. i don't really recall i had a problem with you being dm anyway. But it's really frustrating when someone asks for more details and you don't get an answer. sometimes it went as bad as just announcing drops by being "warrior brace, rogue brace, ring" without even saying if the ring is dps or armor. Also I've seen at dragon boss some dicing of majestic drops before the royal ones a few times. This problem affects every person who has 2 toons whom he's supposed to dice for, or if there's a class drop then some helm or spear at the end. If our dm are in a rush and not so concerned with proper dming, i'd like to suggest they let someone else be the dm. But the better solution is to just say the stats description really, if they get asked.
and no Lukov, the dm does not have full godly authority if he makes a mistake, you can correct him it's not like a low level or a someone who spams is trying to correct him.

as someone who has dmed a lot, i try to be quick and concise. i will try to give extra information if i see the request, but sometimes i am toggling between description and the chat screen trying to remember, so i may miss parts of chat.

I generally try to give the most important stats (which is about the limit of my memory lol) - which is generally the main skill. it never occurred to me that someone would pass because they didnt know all the info. i would assume you would roll, and if you didnt need it, you would sell it or pass it onto a friend. I generally assume people who pass simply dont need the item (or have it already).

i will try to list more stats in the future.

Two thoughts...

1. Yes dice masters, myself included, should give generous item descriptions. We fail sometimes :( Please tell us quickly, please ask a clannie to tell us in clan chat, and/or please whisper us after the fight -- these approaches are more noticable during post-fight spamming. But also, please suggest a different dice master next time -- a consequence is an effective feedback.

2. Players waiting to roll need to tell jokes or stories to pass the time -- help all our friends be patient :D

Note to dear friends - players who say "STFU" are unfortunately remembered for their rough approach to difficult situations. Let us keep our humor and ... find kind ways to communicate -- it is a game and we are good :)
