Yes, I have leveled a druid as my main to 180, almost entirely without any aggy or dl drops, or with a second device. My world has very few active people in the low 180s who don't solo. With maxed skills and good rings I struggled to get more than .6 bars per lix. Mainly, this is due to the massive magic resistances on most mobs. With a lure mage present my lightning and vines were averaging 2+ times higher, which is absurd. My point on bolas is that it is a useful skill to use on bosses. Which seemed to be a grief of candies as a "support" class.

Candies, I'm not sure what sucking at pvp and pve has anything to do with cost. When I say its cheap, I'm referring to the ability to train with mimimum pots and idols. Bolas energy is insane? Sorry...didn't realize it costs 1000 energy every 10 seconds. People who complain about energy cost are just looking at their energy bars. True, maybe bolas takes away as much of your energy bar as swarm does from ours, but its a lot harder for us to recover that 1000 energy than it does for u to regain yours. When did I complain about druids being worse? All I'm trying to do is enlighten you that some other classes may have problems as well. Please tell me a build that helps druids outdps, heal, and live rangers lol. How do you outdps someone with a druid? you max your dps skills of course. What happens when you get hit? you die. So you max bark to lessen damage taken. To regain this hp you need to max nature touch, but since you can't directly tank while healing cause of interrupts you'll have to get away. Bummer, no ranger present, so you'll need roots. Problem solved, right? oops, you dont have enough skill points to max all those...
when you're a druid you have to make a choice. Theres no way to have higher dps, better heals, and live longer than a ranger. Unless there are rangers with a bolas around.
Side note: "a constant heal now and then" kinda contradicts itself. Remind me, candies. What level are you?

First of all I was clearly asking if you have leveled a ranger to 180, obviously your main is a druid. Stop bashing on other classes if you don't have first hand experience with that class. If you feel like ranting about how terrible the life of a druid is there is a section designated for druids.
Personally I play on a world where one clan monopolizes all bosses and drops, and I've been part of the rival clan for quite some time to be restricted from the arena, griefed on bosses, and ksed while training. I trained my ranger to 190 using mostly 150 lux. I had dl gloves and pants for the entire trip. I used the bone bow and dex quiver, which I'm still using today because I can't touch a yellow crown now that a full group of 190+ rogues is camping Snorri or there at a moment's notice. So I had a jolly time training solo on wyrms with outdated gear and with Mordris and his friends destroying me every time I came near enough. Oh and .6 or 7 bars per lix was what I was getting at your level. 189-190 actually took around 35-40 sk, haste, and travel.
My bolas uses 350 energy btw. Which is a lot considering we are not a focus based class. Barbed shot is around 400, long shot 320 I think. I had like 700 energy when I was training lol.

@BlackMamba: You do need to take a peek over at the druid forums- even Regenlief says that roots is recastable. Although I have not leveled either class up to high levels, it has been easy for me to find out that roots is recastable- you just need to time it correctly. Granted you may get hit with a skill or two but no autos, and then your out of range again. embrace takes care of hp, mebbe a quick nt if you don't use bark (which gives druids second best armor in game may I add?).

For the record bolas is recastable as well, but the mob can still move, which is inaccurate- if someone bolases something irl that thing stays DOWN with bruises if not broken limbs etc. Which is mainly why roots is better. If roots gets evaded it can be real trouble though I admit, and I do believe roots should have a shorter cd all the same.

Try mayhap using your rings to add skill points and that should give you at least (as your a caster class) 4 rings lets say royal though at your lvl you would undoubtedly have better: 20 extra skill points. I wont go into builds, its not my main class etc, but I would try talking with other druids your levelfor a nice build with all those things you have mentioned. Shouldn't be too hard as you guys have great skills. Greater dps maybe not but I would bet youd prolly still be able to do decent dps just with lightning and vines alone.

Our purpose is free pvp xp for other classes.

.6 bars at 180+ on a druid huh? Well if you looked at me few months back, I had only dl gloves at 160+ with str gear and str build. I used dmg helm dex quiver midnight talis and lh and other rings. I managed to get .9, yes .9 bars a lix. I used a dps build that was suggested by some higher level rangers and still got this low. Dl was hard back then too. If I was to continue this(which I didn't and I'm glad I didn't) I'd probably get .1 bars a lix at 180. And you say it's hard to get .6 bars at 180+ as a druid with few dl? No offense but I would suggest try out a ranger before bashing them in.

In terms of dps, the druid is better off if both classes are without decent gear (DL, Hrung, Mord, Necro). If both classes are fitted out with the best possible gear, then ranger hands down does more damage and will out dps all other classes on bosses. As for leveling rangers lack the skill speed and damage that other classes have which is why it seems they level so slow. Training is all about skills and less about autoing because mobs have such low health they can be almost dead with just a few casts of skills. And druids run into the same problem with lack of burst damage causing them to struggle with training.
