Re: suggestion for level 190 mordris drops

i say we just ban anyone who is above 188 from fighting - then only one dice roll is needed.

i suppose getting rid of the rule would be OK too

I agree the rule should go everyone 185 above should have equal chances of dicing for a drop... And no Ade lugh will not become a one clan dominant server has you have always wanted many clans work together as they always have Alliance already tries to run and control lock bosses down with your grp of rogues to change drops around it has been noticed and remarked upon by many. :o
I came to Lugh because of the system, and lack of fighting between clans...overall a peaceful, more friendly server. Never once have I seen Alliance drop switch or purposely be unfair to any other clan, and I'd be appalled if they started doing this. Alliance rogues camp en force for the simple reason that we have alot that need dl drops and are not fully geared or near fully geared, not to shut out people. I would hope if there were situations that people found to be unfair in any way, they would bring it up in a reasonable conversation instead of accusing or assuming.

On 185+ having an equal chance, I'd agree...I'm still fairly new to this server and was somewhat shocked at the reroll and had no idea that rule was on the books before yesterday.

Well stated Las 8-)

I would think that most of Lugh should know better than to think we would switch drops...anyone thinking otherwise is just looking to create drama.

If those "many" who do think otherwise, would please speak up and let themselves be heard, that would be great. :D I'm sure we can work out a time (in game or forums) to discuss their opinions on why they would believe our clan would do anything of the sort.

I don’t know where the drop switching accusation is coming from. I haven’t heard anything of the sort and certainly haven’t witnessed anything that could be construed as dishonest.

Also, I linked a couple of posts that give some historical context for the Mordris level requirements and dicing rules.

My take on this is a few high levels refused to participate unless they got special treatment. At the time we may not have been able to successfully complete the fight without them so we caved. Now, if those few chose to boycott, we could win the fight without them. Again, that is my interpretation of events. I included the links so people can arrive at their own conclusions.

It is apparent that the time has come to revisit the 190 drop dicing rule that was voted on. As convoluted as the ruling is and has become, the DM yesterday did his best to to what was voted on, I commend gin for doing what he determined to be the right thing.
As the 190 drop rule was created, there were not that many 190's or even many very close, that has drastically changed, and as such, I feel that we need to revisit the ruling and take a vote to finalize the decision.
IMHO it should now be as any other boss fight, if your eligible to fight, your eligible to roll.
I do strongly reccommend that the DPS req still be kept at 185, 180 for casters.
Please all .... weigh in on this discussion. Clan leaders, talk to your clannies and those that do not get on forums ... this affects us all.

Thank-you all.

I personally think a 'dominant clan server' would be cool, take a look at Avalon of Morrigan for example. If I could join that world and clan I'd definitely do it, it seems like such a beautiful system. But anyways, if the req to fight is 185 then why do we even have a dicing restriction in place at all? It's like, "Oh yeah we definitely need your help but you aren't as good as me because you haven't spent 35 elixirs to get up 3 levels so you aren't rolling for what I'm rolling for. We still need your help though."

Im strongly against lugh being a dominant clan server, and i also think the 188 rule should be gone. The reason for the rule was because it was said the people under 188 couldnt level fast to make good use of the item. I personally leveled 183 to 190 in 3 weeks, and i see no use for this rule. Seems kinda unfair to keep people who participate in the battle not to have equal chances as each other.

Stonelord - 100 PvP Warrior
Lavalord - 60 PvP Warrior
Keepin' it old school.
