I really like this idea , I hope it will allow us better communication with OTM with direct feedback for the live game. It feels almost like an ongoing beta type of mentality and thats good to hear . I hope this is the case.

#14Only problem with this is, that even though you don't have to be a high lvl, people will expect you to be. Same thing with being a mod.

#15To understand the entirety of the game being a high level is almost necessary. Do you not see the importance of experiencing all content ?Only problem with this is, that even though you don't have to be a high lvl, people will expect you to be. Same thing with being a mod.

Re: Introducing the new Forum Guides!
#16Almost is the key-word there. Because if you are not a high lvl, many will automatically assume that you don't know a lot about the game. While most of the time this is true, it is not always true. I would agree with you that you need to see(or at least understand) all aspects of the game but you don't necessarily have to be a high lvl to do so. Do you sort of see what Im getting at? Take voldemort for instance. While he is a low lvl, he is still a great mod. Whether or not he could be a guide is another matter. Im saying that just because someone is a low lvl does not mean they cnt be a good guide/mod. It just helps to be a high lvl. What really matters is your understanding of the game. For instance, while I have not personnaly had to deal with killians spawn time, I have heard it many times on the forums. Same with terrible drop rates. Same with many other things. So in conclusion, don't assume because someone is a comparatively low lvl, they don't know a lot about the game.To understand the entirety of the game being a high level is almost necessary. Do you not see the importance of experiencing all content ?Only problem with this is, that even though you don't have to be a high lvl, people will expect you to be. Same thing with being a mod.

#17I am not assuming. I am pointing out the significance of being high level and also stating why people assume how they do. In know way did i assume high level players are always better than others.

Re: Introducing the new Forum Guides!
#18That's not always true, as OTM picked some lower level people to participate in v4 beta. The idea is that lower level people experience more content at that level, and can better communicate for that section of the player base. When I was making guides for the CH blog I operate, it was tough to go back and think: "how did I do this at that level?"To understand the entirety of the game being a high level is almost necessary. Do you not see the importance of experiencing all content ?Only problem with this is, that even though you don't have to be a high lvl, people will expect you to be. Same thing with being a mod.
There are also other skills that can be valuable, such as the ability to write well, and communicate ideas. You don't need to be a high level to do that.
While I agree that you need to be a high level to speak intelligently about the end game content, we have to recognize that there is other content outside the end game where a guide could be helpful.

Re: Introducing the new Forum Guides!
#20I would have thought with all the same glaring issues being highlighted across the forum on a daily basis, OTM would easily be able to weed out the important issues from the aweful ones, alas, this seems to not be the case.
