Having a dispute between a clan member. Would like OTM confirmation on this. Does raising your dex raise your chance to hit skills? Below there is a picture of what it says dex does but my clan member still thinks it helps skills by raising your evasions, which help you hit according to him.

dex only affects auto attacks and does not raise your evasions

Dex increases your Attack Stat = Higher Chance to Hit with weapon

Dex increases your Defense Stat = Higher Chance to Parry, Block, Dodge auto-attacks

Dexterity increases Attack by 1 point for every point you invest in Dexterity, and 2 points in Defense for every Dexterity point.

Your skill evasions are only increased by the abilities named:

--Vigour (Wounding Attack Evasion such as Rend and Strangling Vines)

--Willpower (Weakening Attack Evasion such as Shatter, Lure of Ice/Fire/Magic and Howling Wind)

--Warding (Spell Attack Evasion such as Firebolt and Lightning Strike)

--Reflex (Movement Attack Evasion such as Shield Bash, Grasping Roots and Bolas)

--Fortitude (Physical Skill Evasion such as Giant Swing, Sharp Shot and Quick Strike).

For every 2 points invested in any of these Abilities, you gain 1 point in the respective skill evasion.

Also, now they are trying to say that because bolas is movement evasion, that by raising your movement evasion that you increase your chance of landing the skill on a boss. I am 100% sure that this is wrong but they will not take it from me... So can I get a confirmation that the only thing that increases the chance of your bolas hitting is your ranged combat level...

I think it is your level and your ranged combat skill level.

Why are you arguing with people that stupid.

For rogues, cunning increases your skill hits, not dexterity.
Warriors melee combat, rangers ranged combat, etc.
