Why make tree charms worth 0?

Ok so every charm has a resale value, and its nice especially if you open hundreds of chests and end up with multiple charms no one wants to buy (yes people dont want to buy trees OTM). But for some reason on this event tree charms are worth 0 for resale? Why OTM? It's not like anyone was getting rich off this. Please in next patch fix this and add some value.

All their hard work on designing the charms would mean nothing as they would all be sold to the vendors. This way, the charms remain in circulation within the economy. I am sure if you don't want it that badly you could sell it for cheap or give it to someone who does want it.

But it would also mean nothing if they are just sitting In your backpack

Hard work lol its the same as mobs just resize it and make it an item hard work is a game like watchdogs and ac4
at least they are still trying and improving

they could have gone the STS (game company) route and made 5 games, updating the last 3 every 6 months with recycled material from last year and have 2 week events every 3 months.

As long as there is new stuff to do that isn't a punch in the trunk I'm fine with it
