Does entangle decrease damage of auto attacks AND skills?

Does it also increase casting time for skills?

Does it also SLOW DOWN auto attacks?

I'm now totally confused because of the earlier posts...

The only thing entangle does is slow down the enemy's auto attack. Has no affect on their skills, or lower the amount of damage they can deal. Even though the attack animation looks the same, either the second or third hit isn't counted.

It reduces the speed by 50%

Seems like a useless skill then

It slows down attack speed based skills like sneakyx shatter, swing, and rupture.

The event foes!

Prior to lvl 140 or so, when I was limited to some basic crappy lvl 50 or lvl 100 lux and quest gear, I found entangle to be awesome for soloing. It greatly reduced the damage taken from boggans, trees and blackstones. I relied little on pots or health elixers and was able to solo consistently without long breaks between mobs.

I still think that after 150+ it is a great skill for boggan rooms when grouping and managing adds, but slows down your own dps too much for soloing and bossing due to taking up skill points. Now that I have 3500-4k HP, I find I need it much less while soloing and grouping. I can take the hits and my regen/sigils usually mean I dont need to cast light heal anyways on 1, 2 or 3 star mobs.

In summary, it was awesome for leveling 80-130, and less valuable as my gear gets better (frozen set, earth ammy, 150 quiver, ring of war)
