Gotta say no to lock at start. If it was set like mordis then yes. If we took the time and set grps then yea. But lock at start doesn't allow people to show. Look at today's boss people was waiting at snorri pit to start mordis. So no to lock at start.

There is no "new rule" only the same one that has been applied on the lvl 200 6* boss after Lugh's first kill. This as well as the dicing requirements were established at this time, though neither have been posted on the forums. Due to fury's confusion about this yesterday, I'd planned on making a post clarifying this, but looks like fury beat me to the forums. I was the DM yesterday, and only continued to uphold the policy we've all followed since the beginning, for EVERY 200 6* kill.
Yes, there is another boss that locks at the start. Mordris. The reason the majority of people who have killed the 200 6* since the begining decided to adopt a similar policy as mordris is because by the time the 200 6* locks, we've already started our 2nd round of lixes (been fighting for over 15 minutes). Just like mordris, we don't start this fight until we have enough people and are ready to kill.

The rules for dicing the 200 6* boss that have been applied since Lugh's first kill (with the exception that one DM attempted to dice by class, which got confusing) are as follows:

*lvl requirements for dicing eligibility: 190 dps, 185 support mage, 180 druids*

*the boss is considered locked when the tank pulls the boss*

*all drops are diced non class*

(The 200 5* locks at target lock, which only takes a few seconds)

Well i might suggest this. Everyone who wants lock t pull fight and see if ya win. If you dont agree with the rule, just Stan aroun and watch what happens. If enough peeps agree with pull then they should defeat boss. If not, then maybe rule changes. Difference with Mordy, in my opinion, is there is advanced prep work for groups. What I've been told, is thy for event boss a group gets together and kills. Kind of excludes peeps.

Many of you who posted against this are part of that "Everyone". You have been there and never objected to this when it was proposed and agreed apon at the time by players in many different clans. If at the time people thought it was unfair, it never would have been adopted and applied.
One of the great things about Lugh, is that we always try to be fair, as a community. It was like this before I started playing, this, above all else, is what makes me proud to be a citizen of Lugh.
Personally, have no strong feelings one way or the other when it comes to when the 200 6* is considered locked. I will continue to uphold what we (You) decide is fair.

Heres the problem though. There was no notice on this, and no real vote. I never even heard of this until that day, so how could it possibly be a lugh rule without lughs decision on this? We need a forum vote, plain and simple :)
World - Lugh
Furyion - 192 Ice Mage
Stonelord - 100 PvP Warrior
Lavalord - 60 PvP Warrior
Keepin' it old school.

There was an objection at last fight...but due to the rule that DM has final say, we did not pursue at that time. I have been at a few other 200 bosses and have not hear of this lock at start rule.
To say that it was decided at first fight and ppl are finding out about it now a few days into the event says something about how the word has been spread ... or not spread. All agree that this boss is harder...if that is the case, why exclude ppl from joining after start? May be call lock at 3/4 or half ..... but start only excludes fellow high levels from joing and helping.

Making NEW rules without publishing can be interpreted as dictatorship .... Lugh is not a dictatorship ...
