Still a work in progress!
PvP Guide: The Obsidian Ranger
And they said rangers couldn't pvp…
Please note that this guide is intended for mid level (60-160) ranger pvp. At high levels (past 160), the obsidian bow build is no longer very effective because of end game weapons (mordy spears and necro bows).

Intro
This extensive ranger guide tells you exactly what you need to kick ass in pvp. The entire concept of an obsidian ranger revolves around the obsidian bow. This will be your primary weapon, and it will allow you to launch huge skill attacks at the beginning of a fight. After casting your initial skill hits, you will quickly switch to your faster secondary weapon and continue attacking with autos.
Think of it as a first person shooter. You're a soldier with an RPG and a pistol. Your primary weapon, the obsidian bow, is your RPG. After launching the rocket from your RPG, you switch to your secondary weapon (like your pistol), the faster bow, to finish off your target.
Remember that you don't want to auto attack with your obsidian bow because you don't want it to fracture. Using skills only while the bow is equipped will not fracture it. Also, the attack speed on the obsidian bow is horribly slow.
With the right gear, this can be an extremely potent pvp build. I added a table of contents at the top of this guide for easy navigation. I also linked pictures of gear for more info.
Good luck with ranger pvp!

Primary Weapon
All obsidian rangers (obviously) must have this bow (aka your rocket launcher).
