Re: First 200 set in gwydion

#11
We have 8 ganarak sets in Arawn so far. No dps set such as bloodthorn or frostroot yet. So far only 3 level 190 bloodthorn rings have dropped and no bloodthorn necky or charm. Most of the completed sets are for casters. It seems strange the drop rates for dps sets are so low.
How does your clan destribute drops these event drops?

Unfortunately there is just roll for drops here, anyone can roll for anything they want.
We have quite elaborate drops distribution rules including the following:
1. Only level 190 and above can roll (most of our players are level 190 and above)
2. Ironroot set for warriors only, bloodthorn for rogues and rangers only and shrivewood for casters only
3. Every one decides what set he / she wants and only roll for those items in the set he / she has chosen
4. Those with 2/3 set will get last item to complete set without having to roll when it drops.

The rules we set have worked well to help everyone get the set they want as fast as we can to serve the greater interest of making the clan even stronger. All spare items go into the event clan bank for roll by those who have no items or incomplete set when event is completed. Even with 8 sets completed and with about 10 people having 2/3 set, and most of the remaining members with one item, we see a significant improvement in our necro kill time including a record kill time of 14 min 48 sec. Hrungnir record kill time is below 4 mins now. That to me is what makes a clan great - people who work as a team and for the greater interest of the clan.

If you allow anyone to roll for anything, then you are most likey going to end up with erratic distribution of drops and the clan as a whole will not benefit and you will also have people who are frustrated, e.g. players below 190 having ganarak drops they can't use and depriving those at level 190 and above not having the benefits they could have gotten from those drops. So, it is a choice your clan leaders have to make. Resurgence is fortunate as we have a cohesive clan with strong leadership, and matured and cooperative members who work as a team.
