Class consequences because of balance issues?

#1
3 years ago I remember seeing a plethora of warriors in the game.
Because there was so many warriors OTM actually increased warrior drops over other classes.
Then in the past couple of years OTM have been tweaking the classes and warriors are no longer the preferred class to play.
(See my post here: http://www.celtic-heroes.com/forum/view ... =4&t=56307 )

Today, drops seems to be close to even for all classes, but because of lack of class balance we have disproportionate amount of need.
Our clan is so loaded with Rogues that we are actually having a conversation today about limiting future Rogue invites.
We are telling new recruits and players with alt rogues, that it will be unlikely they will ever see a DL weapon. :shock:

Just looked again at the current standings for characters over level 180
Rogues = 495 (30%)
Warriors = 420 (26%)
Rangers = 281 (17%)
Mages = 247 (15%)
Druids = 183 (11%)(many of these are alts)

You may be tired of hearing the argument that classes are NOT balanced. :x
I have seen posts suggesting that you have to be a "special" player to be a druid or mage.
But the reality is this game greatly benefits melee DPS classes and non-dps need to just except a supportive role.
If this wasn't just a game I would call this a form of racism!!!

Today, on my hunt for faeries, I was reminded over and over as a competing Rogue beat me to the next faerie with the help of Shadowstrike... :( :roll:

This seems to be obvious that druids need help. Something needs to change to help with class balance.

Maybe we should start charging a surplus tax on all Rogue drops and pay druids every time they level? :idea:

If my world(Lugh) we have a major surplus of rogues, and a lack of druids. I feel, however, that there is a balance. Almost all of our druids have full DL, frozen, meteoric etc. and we're considered the weaker class. But our rogues camp for weeks and months without getting a drop. So it is kinda a balance. Play an easier class, or get your armour and drops faster.

None of these balance issues are ever going to be addressed because more than likely OTM devs play rogues and warriors, amd do not feel the pain of (high level) mages and druids. It has been years and 2 betas with the chance to do something, amd yet nothing. All they ever did was give druids Energy Harvest, obviously done by someone who had no clue about druids and their skills.

Typically i find rangers and druids the MOST fun but hardest to lvl. That's why all my characters have been rogues and warriors

I'm pretty sure Rogues, Warriors, Rangers, Mages, and Druids are all humans. :P

Classism might be a more appropriate word… though it usually refers to social class discrimination.
Racism has nothing to do with being human, are you trying to imply certain races are not human?

Please do not try to twist my words.

To clarify: I was not referring to skin color at all. In many games (such as World of Warcraft), one can choose nonhuman "races" during character creation (troll, night elf, blood elf, undead, dwarf, orc, etc). So in the context of MMO games, yes, certain races are not human. See this if you don't know what I'm talking about: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/race/

One thing is for sure though: mages and druids are not different "races"—they are different "classes."

Lmao too
All onethumb done was removed mage instant firebolt cast skill, GREAT reduced ice shard and ice blast dmg, reduced e shield amount, remain se amount of casting energy, reduced mage dl armor armor amount, (lowest armor class in game). Made high interupt able firebolt, storm, and all skills. None high lvl mage can lvl up effectively, also most real money sucker class at this moment.

Well, no one seen they play other classes except warrior lol how do they know the poor survivebility of other class?

The evasion is insane to casters, mostly u missed a few attk skills in a row, basically u r dead. Unlike any other class even a druid, they CAN melee mob. How bout mage? H2h? Wand? W-t-f?
