Well I must say that there aren't many non-beta testers retaliating at this. And they shouldn't, because beta testing is very difficult. If you've done it before, you know how hard you have to work. I could care less if someone is getting an item from a beta competition, just means I've gotta work that much harder to catch up to them. (Challenge Accepted) As for all the beta testers, I commend all of you for taking time into doing all of this to make the rest of the Celtic Hero world happy. Keep up the good work!!

I informed my clan of this contest. I was upset about the start of the contest time. I read the forums once a day and did not see the post for 12 hours before I started. At that point Energy and Marsh were already level 30. There was my issue and Rikitt was approved to beta test, but he turned it down at the last min to focus on the clan and finishing his meteoric set. That's why he is mad.

Why would you call me a mole Darkchylde? This wasn't a secret competition or a secret beta for that point. Everything we have done from day one has been posted in the forums, posted as pictures, or posted in videos. How will energy and marsh explain how they had gotten the new armor? Congrats to them!

I get asked questions about beta on a daily basis, and I try to give answers to the best of my knowledge.

And beta testers have not been working 24/7. This is primarily the reason there was a contest.

I don't disagree with everything in your post Duece, but the fact of the matter is I doubt you can legitimately support this thread in it's intentions or it's comments. As I said in an earlier post, Admin shoulda given better notice, but he is as human as any of us and has many things on his plate. And obviously learns on the job. Now he knows and any future contests in any future betas I'm sure will be held and informed more professionally. As well as future contests on live servers.

But that said, this thread is crying foul with under information and over emphasis on mistakes that are more human than criminal. Yes, mistakes were made, welcome to reality. It happens.

But as to beta testers and their work ethic, yeah I call attention to it weekly. You have a handful of active testers and a legion of deadbeats. It's a difficult thing to deal with, but the handful do considerable work, and really make the beta go.

I agree 100 percent. I just wanted to clear the air.

I wanna start by saying I greatly appreciate all the hard work that the Admin, the Developers, and the beta testers are putting into the game. Thank you for sacrificing your time and resources in perfecting the update for all the players dying for the update to come out.

As for the beta testers, I only have a problem when you think your all high and mighty because either you were one of the first beta testers or when you feel like your better than everyone else because your a beta tester, so you talk with a condescending manner.
NEWS FLASH to those of you that do this: Majority of Celtic Heroes players are not little kids..

Fortunately, only two of the beta testers ever act this way so for the most part I like all you guys

How will energy and marsh explain how they had gotten the new armor?

The MacClir camp in Shalemont sent out a request asking for more assistance. This was in part due to an increased presence of Connacht in area, but also the area had been experiencing a number of irregularities which threw the balance from the old stalemate to one of favor for the Connacht swarm. I had recently arrived, shipwrecked in Lir's Reach, when i heard the news. The MacClir's had rescued me and helped me recover, and so I felt it was my duty to aid their failing expedition in the only way I knew how, fire magic.
Many days had past before I was even experienced enough to enter Shalemont Ravine, let alone contribute in any reasonable way. My resolve, however, propelled me and kept me going. Through those long nights of training and constant fear of being overcome I only had one small consolation. It was constantly chatting with energyk and the restorative powers of tea. My only drive was the completion of my task.
When the time finally came for the final show down, I fought my way to the Connacht stronghold guarded by Atrisal and his guard. Guards poured out of the gates with an otherworldly fury, and many times I woke up at the leystones only to find myself crushed and beaten back. But with victory that close, I kept pressing on. Then finally the head of Luther rolled down the steps and down into the river. His minions and fiends finally let up if only for a short while.
When I returned to MacClir castle the Lord grabbed my blistered hand and greeted me warmly. To my suprise he informed me that I was not first to arrive in victory over the Connact, but one had already come to receive his due honor. My face fell, my heart saddened, and body began to feel the pains of combat. Then he did offer a token of gratitude. He told me that when the meteors that imbued normal monsters with a hellish fury landed in Lir's, his guards were able to collect various samples of these meteoric rocks. What they found at the core of the rocks was a crystalline material. This material was even stronger than metal. Although they currently have no knowledge of a use for these dense cores, he informed me that in appreciation for my service I was awarded a lesser core which may server me well in the future.

I am sort of mad -.- me and marsh worked our asses off there, running on very little sleep, found countless bugs that wouldn't have been found otherwise -.-

if you told something then you are a mole, informant it said on the dotted line to keep everything bout beta quiet unless admin ok's as for the contest i was not in it because i have a real life an if im dead beat at least i am a working bringing home the money deadbeat when this beta happened it was all good as it got into further.

well the company i work for that is a global company that makes multi billion dollars a year well at a certain time of the year things become seasonal an we ramp up for the hot summer our biggest time of the year

i have been doin in week mandatory overtime which means i dont have a choice but to do it since the start of march it is now april an i am still doing mandatory overtime in week and also mandatory saturdays ,,

i log on when i can ,,in fact i logged in an cheered marshill and energy k on and tea, i put my money on the table and took energy an marshill to finish the beta contest ,,i talked to them when i logged on waved my support for all 3 of these guys ,,2 of them were on spring break and have been busting ther ass

as for me things happen in real life i posted to admin and he said hey real life comes first he understood and he didnt call me a deadbeat he said we got more than enough adequate beta testers we will be fine go take care of business and real life as of now as chance and things happen i log on when i can when i cant i am working or taking care of real life problems in fact i have to work tom mandatory sat 8 hour

so when you say "deadbeat" maybe you oughta think bout it because i take offense to it i am not a deadbeat maybe you are, maybe you are not, dont have a real life, maybe your life is bout staying in the room all day who knows i dont care, all i know i aint no damn deadbeat i have a life jus like you all

as for the armor the admin said you can buy it, better keep grinding for gold he also said it was vanity fashion no stats with no advantage what so ever ..also the other armor he talked bout you can grind the quest and get the armor when update 3 drops ///energy an marshill an tea dont have to explain jack they busted ther asses an earned it fair and square

also from what i heard an know some beta testers got run out cause of spam mail an it almost cost them their real life jobs i wont mention names of those beta testers but they were here long before any of the new beta testers

When I said "Deadbeat" I meant it in regard to testing. No one is asking anyone to sacrifice their RL for beta-testing. It's a beta-test not a key foundation of your existence. No one can expect anything more than you doing what's best for your job and your family, that's Real Life. The fact is that some people have real reasons to not be in Beta, and that's fine. I mean life fluctuates and sometimes you can give time and sometimes you can't. Everyone understands that.

But if you can't test for an extended period yer gonna be called a deadbeat tester. And it's just a fact, not an assault on your character nor on your RL work ethic. But as a beta tester, you gotta be able to look at it rationally without taking it all personally. I don't think there's any reason to pull some big personal issue from anything said here. Some people are beta deadbeats, maybe they will come back in subsequent builds, maybe they won't. But it's not a personal attack, it's just a empirical piece of data gauging time spent testing.

we need a lock on this thread so the chaos will stop wher is dsgrendar when ya need him he he this thread is jus stupid and chaotic ,,too much strife

also i been called alot in other beta tests an i have done a few but never a dead beat he he maybe a low life or a bum or a idiot for maybe doin something stupid or a country bumpkin i do wish i could beta test more

but man its jus hard i didnt ask for it it was jus given to me like this work is a b@@!32tch right now i feel like a dead beat but it being tired from working mean ass third shift hours and mand overtime that i have no choice but to work that im not use too etc etc

but its all good i make my way in beta when i can but i have to say from past betas this by far the best beta crew i ever seen especially you tea you are the glue that holds everything together my friend
