Round 1-Skills!
Rogues win this round hands down, quite easily due to the availability of hard hitting insta cast skills. Insta cast skills such as shadowstrike, quick strike vs sharpshot... CLEAR WINNER!
Round 2-Armour!
Judging solely from endgame armour, I would say that this is a tie. Both rogue and ranger dragonlord armour have the same heat damage, although rogues only have sneaky attack, quick strike for dps skills on their armour, as for rangers, they have only sharp shot ( a joke of a skill )
Round 3-Arsenal
Now this is a bit of a debatable round but i think rogues easily win this one.
Dragon lord dagger and dragon lord bow are equal. Dagger- faster/less dmg vs Bow- slower/more dmg.
As to raid weapons, both rogues and rangers have access to a mord spear. (I will take necro out of the equation as only 3 worlds have killed) Rogues can use all of their skills except sneaky attack while using a spear.
Rangers on the other hand are restricted to just skewer and double attack...
Result: Rogues take this 2-0
Rogues are clearly the superior class in game and probably the most used, but tell me this, what was the point of making rangers if only rogues were to get the kill on everything barring necro. (Mind you, rogues have skill disadvantages with necro and the nature of the battle excludes them from kill most of the time)
It is obvious rogues are meant to be a DPS class, but what are rangers? Both classes have equivalent armour values but why arent the ranger skills somewhat dps?
The truth is rangers are neglected for some reason and have not been in the limelight due to this reason, we are that class that nobody likes to play as we burn more elixers than rogue. Why would you want to play a dex ranger in endgame if there are only 2 semi-decent skills?
In my opinion rangers need to be a somewhat equivalent class to rogues but ranged. We need STR based skills already!
Discuss.
