A couple general CH questions. Sort of noobish

#1
I've been playing for a bit. Got a low 70's Rogue I've leveled without help. A few things I've been trying to find out though. I've asked a couple of people, but some people are too busy to answer questions, you know.

Where do you get healing potions besides the Fettlecap mushroom quest? As I said I'm 70+, so is there a "next" mushroom type quest that gives healing potions? (A side not, why haven't they added potion crafting? Seems easy, and plenty of ingredients already in the game...? )

I've seen a number of threads talking about how to allocate ability points, STR, DEx etc.. A bunch seem to say something like "put all your points in STR/VIT and leave DEx/FOC at like 10. I've seen Rogue builds that are set up like that. At the moment I have points fairly spread out among all the stats with DEx the highest, then STR and VIT with some in FOC. Are these builds extreme? Too specialized for soloing or do people use them for their daily exping- soloing? I guess what I'm asking is should I consider totally dropping, or drastically cutting what I have in FOC? Kind of determined to keep DEX/STR fairly high, and have to have hit points so I can't starve VIT. Unless doing so works better for soloing...?

Is there a site that gives item info and their general selling price? Found a couple of sites with info, but while they have an item listed it doesn't even say where or what drops it..?

Long post yea, but I wanted to explain my questions.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, no.

Potion making and item crafting in general is expected in some later game update. For now, you will need regen items, sigils, or restoration potions to supply your health and energy needs. While effective at lower levels, the fettlecap quest isn't quite enough as you level.
  • If you don't have a lot of gold, I recommend saving up for +5 health and energy regen rings. They cost 25k each in shop, but you can buy them from players for 15k each.
  • Sigils give you permanent out-of-combat regen. You can sometimes buy them for as low as 5k per box (each box has 5 sigils) from players.
  • Restoration potions (+1000 health and energy) usually go for 150-200 gold each in player trades.

I'm not an expert with rogue builds; try looking at this list of guides and see which one suits you.

Hey :) I'm going to do my best to awnser some of your questions and give you some insights on how to play the game joyfully!

Happy tips from Campbell :)-Level 50,60,70 and 80 are the funnest levels in my opinion. Below that noobs don't know how to communicate and above that is just hardcore lix, make the most of it! Group in threes and chat whilst admiring Stonevale's scenery!
Don't be fussed about builds yet, mobs are weak with 2000- hp and you have a lot of people that just want to help. Don't worry about builds until you are banging your head against a brick wall.

Healing potions-At the moment your best shot is fettle potions, and bandage wounds. When you hit 100, you should invest into the platinum bought restoration potions, commonly known as restos or res. these vary from about 100-250 gold each and heal health and energy by 1000.

As for builds, (if you care that much) I suggest this ratio. 1str 2dex 0foc 2vit. This is controversial but I prefer this to others as I believe strength peaks and is useless to upgrade any further.

Good luck :)

I got it right, you have no lux?
My advise will be grounding on that.

As level 70 you will have 345 stat points and 69 skill points to spend. As you have no luxury your main point will be surviveabilty so this is what I suggest

Gear:
Try to get in a good clan to get warden armour, the 5k ancient rogue dagger is pretry good imo and should work well along with an offhand torch.
Jewelry isn't really of importance, tough I suggest using simple gear you get from quests (e.x. declans ring or the 40 health torch) or +1-3 damage rings as they are pretty cheap.

Stats:
I suggest spreading it like this:
80 Strength
150 Dexterry
30 Focus
125 Vitaly

Skills:
Shadowstrike might be too expensive for you so I will exlude it

Fast reflexes: 20/20
Lifesteal: 20/20
Quickstrike: 20/20
Poison weapon: 10/20

Where to level:
I suggest pirates or bloodgloves.
The pirates can drop skills that can sell for about 5k and the bloodgroves routinely drop weapons that sell for 70g each, decide wisely young padawan ;)
Level there until you are 78, then head to the isle with the level 85 3* and 4* pirates, they give great exp but you'll need a leveling group (come on, it's boring solo anyways :p), a druid would be fine.

If you want to farm you're best off going to connachts farming connacht weapons selling them to the vendor for 50g each, if you see yourself waiting for your health to recover there too long try killing the level 25-30 mobs in Dustwicher Catacombs.

This might needs little adjustments but it should be okay, the first items you should be saving for are sigls or an otherworld energy regeneration ring

Let's hope this works ;)

Happy Hunting

Thanks for the replies!

"If you don't have a lot of gold, I recommend saving up for +5 health and energy regen rings. They cost 25k each in shop, but you can buy them from players for 15k each."

That's what they are called? Health or energy reign rings? What shop sells them? (Just curious)

"Sigils give you permanent out-of-combat regen. You can sometimes buy them for as low as 5k per box (each box has 5 sigils) from players."

What are the chests called?

"Fast reflexes: 20/20
Lifesteal: 20/20
Quickstrike: 20/20"

I'm wondering what these usually cost?

And what are Bloodgroves? Lol :P

Oh, and perhaps the most noobish question of all....

What in the heck are SKS's. Haha. I see them being sold all the time.... I've even asked a time or two and no one will say. (Likely they are rolling around laughing))

I really appreciate the help!

Bloodgroves are mainly druids at the end of stonevale. They are level 75-79 (correct me if I'm wrong)
Life steal costs 5-10k in the most worlds.
Sks are super knowledge elixirs, they boost your xp gain by x4 for 15 minutes, if you find people selling for 3k try to buy one or two to sell them for 3.5k.
The sigl boxes are called Energy/Health sigl boxes/crates(I'm not surre whether it's box or crate)
