I play my ranger daily, I have just ditched light heal for sharpen weaps and bought 1.3-1.4k hp sigils.

That's one topic about rangers that I can completely agree with: Our dps skills are the worst out of every class our there.

One trick I used when training as a ranger, if you cast bolas then double shot back to back, there is much less delay time. Just kill the mob before it reaches you'd and you don't have to light heal. It costs less time and less damage lost than life steal does. (I think, basing off my low level rouge and my irritations with how slow life steal is, especially since it heals about 1/2-3/4 what light heal does, for minimal damage and a long casting/recast time.

On crom, restore potions are about 200 a piece, 150 if you find a nice buyer, or buy in bulk. You get 20-100 gold per mob kill, it's just something to avoid all together. (I haven't bought any, or needed to, in a long time, so they might be nearer to 100 gold per, and you migh be right)

And finally, you guys keep saying, ''oh can't we just buff other classes?''- well, why not buff rangers instead, and they could do almost everything CH needs. (almost)

Rangers are a great class if you know how to play them, like someone else said earlier: we are comparing apples to oranges... It really depends on who is playing the character. For me, it's more fun (let alone a ton cheaper) to play ranger, instead of rouge.

Well have fun with your ranger but that doesn't make more mages and rangers play. Either you buff their skills aka fix or ranger and nave class always always stay low population. Simple as that. We need more rangers and mages and only way they will play them is if its fun to play. Undebateable.

Its really about preference, but its clearly apparent the preference of class has a higher probability rate of choice for Rogues and Warriors when all classes should be able to make players have fun. Mages should be Wizards and be able to cast legendary magic and eye candy magic instead of just element. Rangers should have that great advantage of having slow but powerful long-ranged weapons but we are mostly support and the range is only good without aggro since mobs run at 100% speed. Druids should not only be healers but also a Wizard like class that uses nature as its main source of power.

But.... We are all given a set build because of skills, energy costs, and mob powers such as high speed running. Rogues are quick and deal lots of damage with skills that correspond to the class as they should be. Warriors are pictured as berserkers that stand in battle no matter what for long periods of times, and they do that ingame. Tanks means taking a lot of damage and dealing in large burst slow cannon damage at the same time. Not just a meat shield, that's a different sort of build.

Classes should not be statistical classes needed for raids instead what the people imagine and want... if that means buffing every mob in the game its fine as long as you give the players more options with their classes.

I haven't read all the posts in this topic, but this most recent page disturbs me.

As a 194 ranger main, I have always considered the ranger the perfect mix of every other class.

Granted, ranger can not heal as much as druids, or deal quite as much damage as rouges, or take damage as well as warriors, or even support as well as mages, BUT:
We can do all of it to a degree just below every other class.

We can heal, We can dps, we can sort of take damage (we can take damage better than warriors with bolas- damage taken would be 0), AND we can support.

Rangers are the perfect mix of every class.

This is why we shouldn't get rid of Rangers. They are the mix of everything. This means good support as well as decent dps. They are the perfect mix for soloing

But this is so based on clan and group cooperation dude... Whats soloing needed for, its a MMORPG not RPG.

You do realize that warriors are meant to take hits not dish out big hits.

Judging by how you think rangers are perfect, i dont think anyone will take you seriously anymore.

On the contrary. They have the biggest skill hits in the game unless you bring sneaky attack into play. There is also the huge nuke damage mages deal however sneaky even defeats this. However warriors have huge skill hits plus huge auto hits both of which are slow, but double attack can be very powerful in sense of speed+damage. Warriors have very high damage, but because the speed of it their dps is much lower. A warrior with an ymirs hammer/axe can sometimes one or two hit enemies his level 100 or under using his or her high damage skills, which makes them extremely useful on mobs lower than their level. Rogues have to give up high autos for high skill hits, or vise-versa but warriors both dmg skills and autos rely on strength which is usually the second highest stat a warrior will have before vit.

Plus, they aren't just meatshields that don't die, otherwise they wouldn't be able to be attacked by 4 mobs and get out of it alive. They too deal damage plus are able to take damage, their damage is slower is all.

Warriors have great dps. If they had damage on their dl I have no doubt that they'd be just as much or more dps than rangers. They also have the highest armor and leveling is a breeze. Just look at the leaderboard.

You warriors take the easy route; easy levelling and OP in PvP. If you were to actually play a ranger to a decent level, you'd be agreeing with some of us here, unless you're just the stubborn one who thinks he's right, no matter what.
