Dopeehead, I am a more stubborn player, but you do realize this bs is the exact reason why so many people are quitting? We can all quit if you want and you can solo with your Super Regen pots.

Id like to take a stab at this summary of some of the comments.

Comment: "The giveaway was dumb"

Argument: "Be happy with any giveaway because they don't have to give you anything"

My opinion: The giveaway was likely some ploy to generate log-ins for this specific day of low activity. The giveaway of one crappy potion does absolutely nothing for a player of most levels. It may have provided some fleeting sense of god-mode for a level 10 rogue in Lir's Reach, but in the grand scheme of the player base, it did nothing.

My conclusion is that, as stated many times, OTM is a bit out of touch with it's mission to be generous vs. events that generate frustration. In reality, it would have likely made most of us happier to not have received the promotional potion. Why, you ask? Because it was useless, eats up an inventory slot, and burns a whole in the pocket of the adventurer. I used mine almost immediately to help stem my stream of disappointment over a lost opportunity on the part of OTM to make me feel special (haha).

My suggestion: For the next giveaway, give everyone a NO TRADE combo. Give us something that we can use or enjoy, or don't give us anything at all. Why not come up with something unique, maybe a potion that we have not seen before? I appreciate your effort, but I am disappointed with the 5 minute pots, please stop it with the 5 minute pots!

PS: I hope my dissenting opinion does not affect my chances for the fan fiction competition. I think both the competition and my submission are pretty rad : )

While I don't find the pot that enticing, and threw it into the bank to collect dust, i do agree that OTM did not have to give us anything.

However... The log in type of rewards are something OTM should realy think hard about. I played hobbit kom for a year, and they had a great system. Each month you received a reward based on the number of days you logged in. At 5 days you got a small reward. At 10 days either a nicer one, or two small ones. At 20 they were even better, and for logging all but one or two day in the month, you received a realy nice, and expensive reward. Sometimes it was chests similar to CH ones, sometimes it was high tier troops, sometimes mithril (their version of plat)

This sort of system has benefits beyond handing out freebies. You had to go into a calendar and register once a day. But it gave the committed players a reward, and kept us logging. In CH the 29 day prize could be something like a chest of 5 super combo lixes, an event chest, or some plat. It would not ruin the economy, as a player that is on every day needs way more than that in a month. But it would show player appreciation from OTM.

^ +1 to the 30 day reward system, played many games like that with enticing 5, 10, 30 day rewards - made it alot more exciting to play regularly.

Whether its free or not, a lowsy reward just makes the company look bad and people will just be disappointed with the game overall. Much rather not recieve anything if thats what your gonna give out.

Its their job to make us excited and happy. In the game industry there's lots of competition, there are millions of other games out there, why should I settle for "Its better than nothing"? If people are even saying "this is useless" its obviously a sign of bad judgement on OTM's part.

Quit playing Celtic heroes if you don't like it. Forums isn't the place to complain about how unsatisfied you are with otm and if you don't like the gifts don't accept them. If I was Community I would of raged and cursed all you ungrateful ******** out by now lmao.

He's right. You can't give paying customers or supporters of your game horse **** and expect to be successful. Why pump hundreds into a game that never updates with developers that don't care/listen when I can go to the competition and have a boat load of fun. Otm needs to get their **** together. Just sayin

Developers don't care or listen? I'm sorry but ur wrong...ch is one of those games with developers that actually LISTEN and help out their players. Sure they may not listen to every little feed back but they sure do listen more than other developers

I played that other mobile MMO for awhile, and had problems where the bank and mailbox disappeared out of every zone. I could not figure out who to contact, or how to get this fixed. So I came back to CH, and was never able to be enthusiastic enough to get back into that game. The in game support tool, and the responsiveness of OTM on the forums is one of the very positive aspects of this game. And they have made an effort to reach out to the CH community in many various ways beyond just fixing bugs (examples: Developer's Diary, contests, rants forum...)

What you have to understand is that OTM are the gods of this game. And although the gods hear all prayers, it's not uncommon for them to say "no".

I suggest you visit the petitions page or the feedback and suggestions page. Well, we got them to give us full hp and egery after 30 min logged off, is that it? Oh and, barely any admin activity, before or after the new engine was being worked on.

Sure they are good at fixing the hundred of bugs and scamming problems they have, but they don't listen to what we really want for the game. If OaC had a better chat system and cooperation system, I would take that and its content over CH any day.

Say no? They simply don't say anything Oh and actually, we are the Gods. We are their players, they should listen to us, not we them.

Many comments say that OTM does not have to give us anything, so be grateful. Which is true. But we also do not HAVE to play this game. OTM should have 2 main goals in mind. Keep your player base from leaving, and get new players to come. Every decision they make should have one of these 2 goals in mind. Ala, the new Destiny engine is opting for the second option, as it will make the game more appealing in those vital 5 screenshots on the AppStore. This decision to give these two potions has neither of these goals in mind frankly. All it seems to have done is bring out some deep-lying frustration from the posters above me. No one would turn a head if OTM didn't have a giveaway for 4th of July Weekend. (I'm assuming that was the basis behind it) Sometimes, if it won't help you in the long run, it's better to do nothing at all.
