what the heck is this? i couldnt believe what i read, but that's extremely wrong and unfair to the other players to leave part way into the fight. you should be ineligible to dice for the fight, idk who lets you get away with this. people are using much more idols and even elixirs while you get to dice for the same item at a cheaper cost. Its like snorri when people hit ley after the lock and miss 70% of the fight, theyre still eligable to dice.
Re: R-E-S-P-E-C-T
#22Luk, you're delusional. Plat has absolutely nothing to do with a player's experience with the game. I ran a clan for over a year and yes, many of us platted. It helps but it doesn't make anyone a better player or automatically make them gain levels. We encouraged leveling and some people took to it. You should too instead of having so many reasons as to why you should get to dice below required levels. You are anti-leveling not anti-plat. If you dont plat then where do you think you get the opportunity to buy lixes with gold? From plat buyers.
Unlike many new games, buying premium currency in CH doesnt make you godly. Spending the time to level does. All of the plat buyers you loath so much spent many many hours leveling. Because you choose not to doesnt make you any better. It doesnt give you anymore experience with the game than others.
Cecil, Mista, Instant/Replay, Singforme, Boot, Zombie, Callator, Randall, Magicm, Dany, are all 190+ along with myself from hard work in Exultantis. We did not bypass any facets of the game. We had to kill every single quest boss just like everyone else. Regardless of plat or not.
I see Critz and Lasciel (who are new to the server i think) are 190+ too. I would attribute that to their dedication of xping and the help they received from their clan. It seems as though everyone who wants to get to 190's ends up getting there except for you. Instead of trying to dice 3 toons at bosses maybe you should focus on 1 and get leveled up.
As for you leaving with 15 mins on 200... You knew you didnt have time and shouldn't have even started the fight. It wasn't plenty of time. It was almost half. If we let people leave and dice with half a boss then people will argue that they can show up at half of a boss. FYI i believe it was unanimous to NOT let you dice. There wasn't an argument for that.
The only direct advantage plat buyers have is gold. They can sell their items or use them and not have to buy. Thats it. You can stop your hating on plat buyers because it serves Zero purpose other than making you look bad. Lets not forget OTM is a business too. The plat buyers are supporting the game and its development. No company in the world works for free.

#23Once again in no way did i say i hate plat players...
In no way do i discriminate against plat players...
These are MY personal views towards your playing experience...
I have watched as plat players come and go, they dont stay as long as our nonplat players. And to really experience an area of a game doesnt mean just killing bosses. It means understanding where you need to be, what is more effective when, who you need to complete the fight. Me dillusional bah, drunk when i wrote that last message yes. Ive not seen someone cater for nonplat players since shadowkrar was around. Although he wasnt thought highly of by some, he did openly discuss a nonplat playing style with me and develop his strategies around.
All i see now is lix resto idol, sure theyre needed in some cases, but since when is restos or haste or even energy lixs requirements? You all treat us as if we have a bottomless amount of items. I see it day in, day out.
The way lugh has changed is not to cater for our non plat population but rather against it.
Just gold being the only benefit. Just gold means, more opportunities to buy higher end gear, meaning you equip your mains/alts quicker. Not to mention the plat items that are scarce, alt books, rebirths, restos, combos. I watch and watch the economy of lugh, i watch how our worlds market revolves around these items.
I myself use roughly 7k gold worth of plat during one lix. Turn around and tell me youve ever done that? Turn round and tell me which mob gets more damage from cold dmg? tell me which damage type gives the most damage boost?
Tell me the real answers you SHOULD know by endgame...
Im done with this topic. Enjoy your banter over a comment saying i prefer people opinions who experience the game without plat.
And time spent leveling what a joke, 3 accounts 170+, grinding 2 of them to 100+ non lix. Ive spent more time leveling than 90% of lugh...
In no way do i discriminate against plat players...

Re: R-E-S-P-E-C-T
#24Lol. You still question our knowledge of the game. We are all players plat or not. We've taken down every boss except necro which the only issue seems to be logistics. We cant get everyone we need online at the same time. I'm pretty sure 100% of the players who took down Hrung and Mordris for the first time used plat items. Whether or not they bought it is none of my or your business. If you wasted all of your time trying to figure out non plat strategies then youre a fool. With the introduction of chests, plat items have become super common. No longer is anyone relying on a person to purchase specific items and sell. Now all items are plentiful. Thats OTM. That's not up to plat buyers. They cant dictate what comes out of the chests.
I dont understand what your point is. You are trying to justify something that isnt reasonable. And you have made negative comments about players based on whether or not they spend $. The game has evolved with the development of the game. Not just because of the players. Many of your gripes should be towards OTM not the players.
If you spent 90% more time xping than other players thats a YOU problem. That's not our problem. Elle has 3 toons over 170 too. Callator is level 203 with a 180 alt. Elle's toons not only help but they manage to qualify for bosses. Callator is the main tank of Lugh. How do you justify your efforts?

#25Well, as a plat-buying, lixhounding, yet long-term player - i am not sure where i fit in.
But +1 to reytch - respect is always important, which, in this context, is recognizing that different people have different values and are all here to enjoy the game. Some take pride in high levels without lix, some take pride in high dps, some take pride in really high evasions, some take pride in playing multiple toons, etc - all good.
i take pride in my highly calloused feet that let me run anywhere on Lugh without boots!
cheers

Re: R-E-S-P-E-C-T
#28Hmmm well I believe two years ago now, that I was a very fast leveling Mage. Who earned a lot of respect through the time and effort that I placed upon leveling and learning how to build my character. I was, and still am a plat buyer, and lix user. How does that lessen or earn me respect? I thought it was through my ability to play and teach others my mistakes or help them as I could. Respect is earned, no matter the channel that is used to conduct it. That's all I have to say about that.
Re: R-E-S-P-E-C-T
#30I have a cpl things to say... First off u say u have nothing against plat buyers, then u continue on to say that we 'breeze' thru the game and dont know unfathomable... Sorry to disappoint u but because some ppl can spend money irl for a game doesn't make us complete and total idiots... Second... I grinded to 126, and btw when u say u grinded to 100+... Woohooo! SO COOL! (Sarcasm) its rlly not that hard till bout 130+, and even then it's just time consuming. Another thing, someone said this before but without plat buyers... How wud all the non plat buyers get 150+? Without grinding forever...Once again in no way did i say i hate plat players...
In no way do i discriminate against plat players...

Just realized... In a way u r buying plat items which u buy WITH plat (not u specifically) which u then purchase with a different CURRENCY... As much as youd like to think this... Ur not better or more 'special' than those who have a few more bucks irl that they spend on a game for enjoyment...
Peace out
