I was wondering for high level rangers, which would be better, a Mordy spear build or the plain bow build..

Using the DL Bow and you are fighting a chaos mob.

In such a case i would use the Dl bow. If the Mordy spear was Void fire str or dex i would probably be temped to use that though. Both are good but it depends on what you are looking for.
Probably close to the same dps output but bow lets you do it from further away .

Mord spears are great and if Rangers had one or two useful spear skills, it would be worth using. I prefer the bow.

The bow by far.
-especially if we ever get around to killing necro on my server, those bows are especially worth it.

If I was offered a void spear, I would give to a rouge or warrior in clan that would make the most of it, unlike the ranger

Quite true cause the only damage skills we can do with a spear is skewer and double attk.

Dl bow and quiver for bosses else spear for pvp, farming, doing your xp quest...
