4th Generation devices will be out dated soon. The game is moving on, and so should you. Heck, lots of apps and software in general is making you upgrade your phone, so see it as an investment further than CH. Its really just Apple's fault because they don't want to create software or waste time on devices that aren't seling anymore, and OTM has done a great job keeping 4th gen capability until this point.

The iPod 4th gen does not support iOS 7. Due to Apple's versioning rules, any new app, or update to an app cN only support the lates version of iOS. OTM has fought long and hard to keep our old devices working by making old and new versions of the app work together. I still dual log low level toons with my ipod 2!

This, however is a new ENGINE not just an update to an app. It is unlikely that the new engine and the old one are going to be compatible. This is Apple's rule, not OTMs. Unity works on older devices, but CH will not.
Translation: Apple wants you to buy a device with ios7 so you can play CH. theyre making older devices obsolete so ur forced to buy more of their merchandise.

iOS 7's multitasking is much worth a new (Some May say ugly) color pallete.
