Toast once appointed me as his voice in his absence, so i feel it necessary to speak now.
Pigman, I'm surprised at your response. You start off saying Toast has your respect, but then finish off with shame on him and essentially so sorry your clan isn't on the same tier as Avalon. It would have been much more fitting of your stature on forums and as a member of Avalon to say something such as "we enjoyed your friendly competition at bosses" or "you created something remarkable in such a short time, best wishes" etc. Regardless of intent, it reads as a bit arrogant, which is unflattering especially in someone intelligent as yourself.
Unless there is some splinter action i don't know of, Triquetra would not ask a player to pay for DragonLord armor. We do ask for any event sets and non-bound Aggy gear back because we utilize everything we have. That was made clear when we reached the level of killing Aggy. It is no surprise to any active member. Obviously, our clans have different ideology when it comes to drops, which is fine.
Certainly, those in Avalon can remember back their days of other clans. We are not a clan that is the girl you take to the dance just so you can talk to a prettier one. If Avalon is your goal, then we have made it clear that we do not want to be wined and dined just to see you walk away. Date the prettier girl, dont settle for us in the first place. This is a concept that i dont know how much Avalon may think about, because you all have not been in that position for a long time. Avalon doesnt deal with end game gear migrating to another clan that is then used against you in a battle for lock. One missed grim, or other high end aggy drop is important to us, but could be seen as obsolete to you. Please understand I'm not angry with Avalon at all, i have done a lot of observation and learning from your clan behavior and model. People are free to leave, and i understand recruitment of high quality players. Still, understand that it is disappointing losing anyone you camped hours for, logged on late at night for, and shared fun times with.
I do think that at the very least that in saying goodbye, Toast's clan could be complimented, or it could've just been kept to a polite best wishes. I dont have any misconceptions about the gap in power or wealth between Avalon and Triquetra, but i do know that Avalon has been reactionary to us. That itself is worth noting, isnt it? Avalon has increased numbers at bosses and also has changed patterns due to our presence. We've won lock more times that can be considered just lucky. We're good. I like the friendly competition, and look forward to more of it.
Toast wont be gone if I have anything to say about it. At least I'm going to try with all i can muster to get him back. At the very least, my effort will serve as the embodiment of my farewell to a dear friend and great man.
