While everyone knows that Celtic Heroes is in fact a game, it truly seems to serve as more of a community center to its players, where people go to hang out, chat, and possibly "play a game of falgren."
However in this community center it seems that there are a few bullies that are too quick to throw away all their human decency and become unscrupulous scum and after wronging another HUMAN BEING playing too, they respond "it's just a game," as if that makes the wronged feel any better.
I for the most part have a great time playing this game, but there are a few individuals that really aggravate the * out of me with their ksing and bossrushing, and really leave me pizzed off for the remainder of my day.
I try not to hold grudges nor be vengeful, but at times I really wish that I would be more like my good friend speed, and show them what it feels like to be wronged so many times.
However I have not reached that point yet and would simply like to ask the people of Arawn to please have some respect for one another playing in the community center.
I truly believe that the people Arawn need to be more courteous to one another, as you would to another person playing basketball with you at the community center.
When someone is forming a group (lining up on the side of the basketball court discussing teams) you don't run up on the court and go, "Wahooo I'll play if you wont! WAHOO!" That is just stupid, as is boss rushing.
Have some decency and respect the other PEOPLE present, will you?
Similarly, when someone is in the middle of a basketball game (fighting a mob) you don't run up to them, push them off the court, steal their ball, and start playing yourself would you?
No! You ask to join or wait until they're done and then ask to have a turn playing next time.
Can we please stop treating each other like we aren't even human, and all show a little respect to each other? PLEASE?

#2While we are discussing etiquette my pet peeve is communication or the lack thereof.
Don’t send a friend, trade, or group request without first speaking with the person.
If someone speaks with you. Have the courtesy to not ignore them. Obviously this does not apply if you are AFK or have intentionally blocked someone. The greatest insult when speaking with a deaf person is to close your eyes so they no longer exist. Having chats ignored is the online equivalent. A quick “busy” would suffice.

I often respond with "Boss" when getting whispers/clan talk during a boss fight or something and can't talk. Oftentimes people don't understand and keep talking lol. I can't stop healing so I kinda gotta just ignore and mend fences later. But yup I agree with Big Papi here.
Some of this quite honestly is on Arawn. It's on the community everyday to teach new players how to act and how people appreciate being treated. I think that so many older mature players leaving from boredom has created a weird vacuum at times of positive peer pressure that always used to exist to guide the morons.
I'm sure that will return after the update, but until it does we gotta pull our own clanmates aside and teach them

#4Oy, I wish I was more like you playing in ch, you get grouped way more then I do and you are just a great player all the time, When I ever I had asked for a group I always had the cold shoulder when I was like level 80ish, So now when I rush a boss the group decides to group me because I have it, I'm starting to not group others for how they act not toward me but toward others, So when I rush a boss I might not even group the group that is waiting.

#5I love it how the point of Oy's post was courtesy and respect, and you come on and say "when I rush the boss"
The post was directed at that exact play, and saying it needs to stop.
Come on Speedy, I realise you've been unfathomable on more than once, but this attitude isn't gonna help you get into non Celts groups! All it will do is alienate you further bro... I don't want that, surely you don't either!
I just read both posts again... Did you even read Oy's entire post???

#6Thats exactly the reason others don't want to group you.. Its very disrespectful. Not that you are the only one who does it. But I'm sure you wouldn't like anyone rushing a boss you are about to engage either. So when I rush a boss I might not even group the group that is waiting.
Re: Celtic Heroes, a community center? How about some respec
#7Here is a great example. I'm in the druid area with others running around killing everything in sight which increases the chances of accidental KS. So I ask if we can all group so we don't fight each other for kills. Well some are AFK and the others say they prefer to solo so we go about our business and sure enough one starts shouting at another to stop attacking their kill. A few minutes later that person is attacking my kill so I whisper them to stop and their response is that I have killed too many mobs in a row. After trying to discuss KS etiquette and which mob belongs to whom they end the discussion with the announcement that I am now blocked. This was someone I have friended and still have them as a friend. A few minutes later they ask to join my group after we have taken a mob down to 20% but I am still blocked.
A while later I ask another to group with me so we don't KS each other and they are concerned that their level will water down my experience. My response was that I would prefer to lose XP than risk offending a friend. I was surprised at the shock and awe that I might suggesting such a thing.
Why are we so selfish? Do we really enjoy going around making everybody else miserable? We have forgotten the number one rule of the game:
He who has the most friends wins!

I lvled my warrior with a friend from lvl 20-70ish and it was great fun. Sure, it took a few days longer, but it was worth it. I mean, the reason this is an MMO and not just a RPG is that you have a community. Unfortunately, some people tend to disagree and lack the necessary respect.
Re: Celtic Heroes, a community center? How about some respec
#9Like Xell said this is an MMO, your always going to have those unethical rude and obnoxious players. Some get over level 100 and it gets to their head then they think Ksing is fine and they can do whatever they want
. Oh but the wonders the update will bring are amazing. No one will be able to solo bosses with a group of 4 chugging down pots because Potions as well as Idols actually have a cooldown! Amazing
.
Now clan will depend on other clans and stop their selfish acts. What makes it all the more amusing is these people block you because they have no valid arguement when their in the wrong, I known a certain individual who in my point of view is the most hypocritical person I've ever met. Always saying ksing was wrong it should never be done and what not, then when her and and her group ks us I get blocked because she knows she was in the wrong and has nothing to say in her defence.
The only reason ive held back from actually telling off these people is because of the clan, if not for that I would do what they do to us, playing the good guy while getting smacked around in the face is unfair but the clan rules is not to do what they do to us so as long as im in celts no words shall be exchanged. At least not until they FINNALY crack me.
For one reason or another the response everyone gives is "it's just a game" well, I hope you didint think I was actually a rogue in a mythical world, I'm well aware this is a game, but that doesn't change the fact the you need to respect the player base. That being said, If someone disrespects you time after time while your the one trying to keep the peace I see no reason why you should keep playing the good guy, and at one moment or another if you snap and tell them what they had coming, then you had the right to do so.
Hopefully the players in Arawn who's heads are filled with greed and clan pride come to their senses and stop being morons so everyone can once again enjoy the game.
