About the skilled artist vs creative mind I have to agree, even if you have like the most creative design, you won't win if the mount looks like a frozen bagel.Everyone butters up there stick with two wings with 1000 characters worth of background info.
All the mounts will just be the same as in the past, speed and camo, thats it. And I dont know if you've noticed, but up until now just the different designs and making things look pretty is what OTM has been going for.
Plus, this is an art competition mostly, those who can draw well usually have the most creative minds too, and they can see what they want perfectly. Concept art doesnt necessarily mean complete game changers like pets.
For the mounts I might disagree, there are much more potential for a mount than simply speed and camo, such as proc, regen, stat/hp/energy boost, ability boost, skill dmg boost, armor/resis boost, etc. I know OTM could be lazy at times, but not to the point where Ctrl C +Ctrl V is how mount stats are defined.
Especially v5 could change things around, giving OTM more flexibility in terms of mount designs, I'd imagine v4 chars would look semi-awkward riding a horse/animal but in v5 it would be much smoother.
