1. Be civil
Most of the toons you see are other players, not NPCs. Treat them as you would if you were meeting someone new irl. Remember, it is a small world and you will probably see them again.

2. Take your time
This is a game to enjoy, not something to mark off your 'To Do' list. When you follow the quest line do a little extra. If your quest is to kill 3 mobs, take the time to kill 5-6. The exp is very good for a little extra time. Also, your quest list will be very long at the beginning of the game. Don't worry, you don't have to do all of them right now. They will still be there when you log on next time.

3. Be patient
Some quest may take weeks or months to complete. Be patient, you will get there.
There are people from all over the world playing this game and may not write English that well. Be patient and take the time to communicate with them.
A small percentage of the human race are jerks. Be patient. Is this person really a jerk or was there a miscommunication? If it turns out that you have encountered one of the rare jerks out there, block them and move on. If you are encountering a large number of jerks, perhaps you should consider the possibility that you are a jerk and others are reacting to your jerky behavior. Be patient with yourself. You can learn to behave like a civilized human being.

4. Be content
Don’t worry too much about keeping up with the Joneses. There will always be someone with better gear than yours or higher level than you. So what?
There is a wide array of weapons and equipment in the game. You don’t need all of them. Don’t waste time and gold buying every incremental upgrade out there. The quest armors are quite good and if you take your time and follow the quests, it is also free.

5. Follow instructions
If you are instructed to give 3 tips for newbies, limit your list to 3 items.
The real title of this one is “Have a sense of humor”. Remember, it’s a game. Don’t take it too seriously and have fun.

I would give these tips

1. Kill mobs on your way to quests if you can

2. Don't worry about gear at a low level that will come later when you will join a clan

3. Don't lend out items and try your best not to dice when having money problems you may never know
I agree with dice. I went from 5k to 240k once, then 250k to 0k lol

1. Do not beg.
2. If a high level does something nice for you, do not think he will give you everything you want.
3. Go on the forums and read this topic.
Could have said it any better, number two is the biggest point in my belief... U cant do anyone just one favor now adays, its got to be all or none...

1. Do NOT visit world forums
2. Do not: Prostitute, beg, scam, collect chickens, spam, kill anyone in arena for fun, make any low levels angry (they'll bite you in the butt later on when they pass you), do not taunt your defeated opponents, ks, or spam buying stuff shouts .
3. If killed in arena do not fight back or argue with them in shout, leave. Come back later and kick their arses.
Why do you suggest not visiting the world forums? I'd think that they would be the proper place to post sales, ask for sale items, talk about world clans, etc.

1 don't beg for free items.

2 don't try and sell high levels your lvl 3 items because you need money. We don't and will never need it, there's no way you're getting more money than any npc will buy it for.

3 that time you're thinking of spending in castle trying to get free stuff? You could gain levels items and a lot more gold than you'll ever be given by a player.
