Ok, so I have a noob mage. Obviously, as he is only lvl 35, he does not have incinerate yet. But I would like to know which is better for when the time comes: incinerate or cloak of fire? As of now, he uses fire attune, fire lure, fire bolt, fire storm, and cloak of fire(at lvl 1 atm because I wanted to put points in fire storm).

Is this because of the fact that cloak of fire can hit multiple people without being reapplied, while incinerate can only hit one?

In terms of effectiveness, lower level mobs tend to die a lot quicker meaning incinerate isnt applied for too long. Cloak of fire is good for killing off multiple mobs and at lower levels you're more able to take more hits.

Well i dont enjoy much using buffs, also its recommended maybe at a much lower lvl prob with less lux, saves energy and good for farming as well.
Considering u can max 4 skills at around lvl 60-70, the 5th skill would be something that could fit more that lvl and cloak isnt something i prefer, ive wrote this before but there are several options depending on ur casual situation.
Health problems : e shield
Energy problems : e.boost (sacrifice is recommended if u have a druid with u)
Extra dps : if solo, i guess cloak/inc are options but i prefer ice shards with lvl 1 ice lure, or ice shards if u lvl with an ice mage (seen a mage dual logs fire and ice mages, one had firebolt as extra and the other ice shards, and had both lures), but lure of assassins is great if u lvl very often with rangers and rogues, both great lvling partners, or maybe even lure of magic/soldiers which is less common.

hey yeah i level my noob mage occasionally and was wondering what to do with the extra pts
right now i have firebolt (maxed), firestorm (almost maxed), lure of fire (almost half maxed), fire attunement (almost maxed), ice shards (like 8 pts)
the reason every thing is "almost maxed" is because the skill cap recently went up

i want extra dps for leveling. cloak of fire or shards or incinerate or whatever should i use?
i mostly solo level because the people i see group leveling these days are either:

1. noob. has terrible build and ends up slowing me down
2. rich person's alt. uses elix and hastes. i end up slowing them down.
