An Otm admin looked at the title of this topic and in his/her min read "mages need pvp nerfs" and clicked a shortcut in their desktop labeled auto mage nerf.

IMO rogues need a nerf, they have 3 instant cast dmg skills. One of which lets you instantly teleport to A boss and dmg it.

rogues are supposed to be a fast high damage class... Its their purpose. Even so, some ranged classes can compete with rogue dps. They may be a bit op in pvp... after warriors, but in a pve centered game do not expect pvp to be too balanced

Right, because that range really helps when a rogue shadowstrikes right to you, doesn't it?

No... No they don't... Were the 3rd best sometimes even the 4th best at pvp...

Mages and warriors are the best pvp classes, followed by druids rogues and rangers.

Mages arent that bad in pvp. They can surivive a hit or 2 with energy shield then cast bolt and storm to kill other classes except warrior. If your skill gets evaded, its game over for you.

Pvp is severely unbalanced in this game as warriors rule everywhere, its impossible for a ranger to get the highest pvp ranking unless they sneakily pick off people in arena and leave.

I wouldn't worry too much about pvp though. Like Rochoh2000 mentioned, this game is heavily centered around pve only.

Most of the reasons i have heard of for rogues being OP have been regarding PVP, and as i have said, this is a PVE centered game, each class has a different purpose, so dont expect PVP to be balanced in 1V1. Warriors are still more OP than rogues in PVP, even with rogues' shadowstrike. But i do think that class balance is still far out of line than it should be.

Any class can be arena pvp masters. here is how you do it
1) find a person afk waiting for gladiators. because seriously... their eyes glazed over and they are drooling right now waiting hours for him to spawn
2) start attacking the afker. by the time he realizes, half his life is gone.
3) afker starts attacking back, and dies. Now you have half life.
4) afker uses an idol to kill you. now he has full life and you have half life.
5) use the leystone in the middle of the fight to get out of the arena before you die.
6) repeat until you have an invincible rating and the entire server hates your guts.

I get a lot of free pvp xp from players who do this. I don't have to kill them, I get xp, they lose rating, and they have to run back. Pretty sweet deal imo.

Well pardon me if I'm wrong but I haven't yet seen a fair fight in which a rouge has beaten either a mage or a druid.

Give a druid an 80% speed boost in arena and they're golden with their insane DoT damage that they can now outlive and run around in the arena.

Mages have PvP energy shield and nuke dmg ice skills. The natural PvE mage is bad at PvP, unlike other classes which are ok in their natural states, but compared to other classes mages have specific skills and builds that can make them good at PvP and only PvP.

There's a glitch some players exploit where u can ley out without losin exp. I don't know how but its super annoying when they do it
