I view the sales as win-win. You can buy an item at a discount if you like and this stimulates sales for OTM.
This doesn't even take the server resets into account.

Sales are something we've been wanting to do for a while, ever since we put in the special offers page back in Update 4, we've now got a bigger team and can spend time on sales without impacting the rest of development. The idea of sales are to encourage you to buy stuff you want, and hopefully people will log in more frequently to check the special offers page. All of the money from Celtic Heroes is reinvested back into the studio to help grow the game, we've nearly tripled the size of the Celtic Heroes team over the last two years.

Isnt there a way to update the sales without bringing the servers down? As much as I like the bosses spawning on reset, it disrupts gameplay and player schedules.

Well for an end gamer, theres nothing really to do other than dailies, raid bosses and camping. These server resets bring people together and are thrilling to say the least.

Server resets are about the only thing driving the high levels to keep playing right now. A person can only sit and camp for hours on end for so long before Netflix, TV, PS4, Xbox or anything other than staring into empty space becomes more appealing. Why would anyone want less to do? We have enough of that already.

I'm much happier giving some money to an indie startup than some massive faceless corporation like gameloft.

OTM has done a lot more with a lot less than many if not all mobile mmo companies.
