Sorry but pretty sure ive never met a ranger who has spent $500 on just pots so they could solo to lvl 180. Rangers are not as bad as you say they are. Rogues are nt op, they die so much, yeah they have awesome dps but thats what they are made for. Rangers are made for decent damage with good survivability

Dex makes good survivibility. However, due to dl and its dps boost, most rangers choose str build. Also, so much dex wont do much at all. Even with a lot of dex, our dps skills we have will still be useless (due to the mobs resist and all the time themob evades the skills). Rangers back in u3 were amazing dps.but after u4, otms basically put us in a spot that we cant decide if we're built for dps or survivibility. Most of our skills are dps skills, but all their damage honostly sux without the best gear. We have 3 survivibility skills, lightheal, bolas, entangle. Rest of the skills are damage, sharpshot, longshot, explosive arrow, etc. With the amount of evades and all its basically impossible to be dex build, hence the reason why rangers choose str.

Your ability to attack from a distance is a huge benefit. That and bolas with lh? Basically invincible. If you want to damage people good AND have strong heals, that isnt going to happen. The only way a ranger should be able to have dps comparable to rogues should be if every support skill and heal and ranged combat is taken away. But basically that would make rangers rogues. NOT EVERY CLASS IS MEANT TO HAVE GOOD DPS. Rangers outdps warriors maged druid and sometimes get kills over rogues on bosses. They also have better survivability than any other class. They dont need a buff at all.

His opinions somehow always vary from other rangers. Starting to believe he either has a low level ranger or is just delusional.

I agree with yakat that we have high survivability but how do you expect to get maximum exp from lix when it takes too long to kill mobs? Our dex skills simply cannot function in crowded boggan coves where sharpshot is doing close to a str auto...

We can attack from a distance...but not for long. As soon as a bolas misses then we cant be "invincible". And as far as the heal goes...its easily interrupted

There arent always people near your level to train with at all time. You can try and try Yakat, but rangers are a flawed class.

Rangers are a joy to level with. Not only do they have good dps, their sharpen weapons skill buffs me and they can also heal. And everyone has issues finding groups. Suck it up and deal with it.

Im sure you also are in glee when you realize how many bars you are getting with that lix when you train with rangers, or you just dont check.

Good DPS is subjective, im pretty most rangers get their dragon lord bow and quiver lv180+ from clan. Those are what really gives a ranger great DPS compared to slow wyrm bows, low dmg frozen bows, etc.

Sharpen weapons is a great group skill, I agree.

Light heal is an okay skill. It usually gets interrupted, and if you are really in need of heals, you can level with a druid or just use restos.

How much more delusional can you get? Rangers are not the perfect class that you are intending my your several posts, we have far too many skill, DPS issues than you think.
