If rangers had more dps than rogues, that would definitely be a problem and a mistake on OTM's behalf.

Why? Simple, it's because of ranger's flexibility. Why do people overlook this simple fact that rangers are able to support groups through heals, bolas and solo easier by attacking from a range? Rogues are supposed to get the kill as they have no way to kite/attack up close and personal, therefore rely on their DPS to progress as a class. If you are out-dpsing an equally geared rogue, then they are doing something wrong or the game is broken.

You shouldn't be able to out-dps a rogue, it's simple. Sick of not being able to? Quit your ranger and make a rogue.

I respect your opinion Armo but you've not experienced an end game ranger. If all people are looking for is support, they can be druids who are x10 the support rangers are, they can be mages who are x5 support rangers are with their lures.

What us rangers want to bring out to the public is that ranger is broken, our DPS skills are not up to the mark for carrowmore tunnel mobs, we've got no str based skill, something warriors and rogues have the luxury of. Why should we go dex for broken skills?

I do not believe that Yakat is an end game ranger, thus his statements. The only end game rangers id see being happy are ones with powerful necro bows, hrung loot.

The thing is, not all rangers have the availability of that, and thats the majority.

Once again you're missing the point that it's not all about DPS. The reason sharpen weapons and steady aim are dex based is for rangers to give up some strength to have more powerful DPS buffs as well as more survivability/stronger light heal/ect. Maybe a buff to sharp shot/barbed shot/explosive arrow would be a good idea, but the class is most definitely not broken.

Its not that we dont have dps, we do, but its actually the way we have dps. Autos. Nothing more than just autos. I can sit at a long fight put a haste on and just auto away while afk. We have no true damage skills which is what most rangers are upset about

I only disagree when rangers complain that their DPS is lacking due to the inability to out-DPS a rogue, which is something that shouldn't happen.

Rangers get EVERY SINGLE necro kill, for a class whos main role isnt dps, they are awfully good at it come endgame

^ Probably since they can't use poison weapon or shadow strike. Rangers are always on Necro as well, and never deal with adds unlike rogues who have to clear ghosts (well that's how we do it anyway).

We have rogues oh him constantly, for rondel expose smoke etc. (Only 2 on rondel not all 10 willy nilly) and rangers get every single kill.

Still can't use shadow/poison and have to move for life steal? On a boss like hrung/mord where they can use all their skills, I'm certain rangers would not get kills (which is how it should be).

Shadow is useless on mord as it is evaded so much. I run a 50 rend 50 qs 50 assass 45 sneaky attack build
