Maybe I'm wrong in calling this a "new" scam, but regardless of whether it is new or not, it seems that this scam has started to spread like wildfire in Rhiannon so I'll warn everyone now: what happens is someone will ask for your best lux item in exchange for an event item (snowmen heads, laugh masks are common). At first this seems like a bad idea and people naturally say no at first and cancel the trade. After rejecting person A, person B will then strike up a trade and place down lots of good items. For example, I was recently shown 460k, heroic gloves of haste, heroic boots of haste and a heroic ammy. Person B will then say something along the lines of "all this if you can get me ("whatever person A offers") person A then offers to trade your lux again and will take it and run.

I have seen many people complain about being scammed this way so be aware and DO NOT believe that you will be given any of these things

Basically, people who fall for these traps are greedy players that want more and more, so if you ask me, I'd be laughing at these players that have fallen for it

Yeah ive experienced that just last week, by *names removed*, he told me all his lux and 300k for a snowman head, or other event shiz, then thats when his other guy comes in, he says all my lux for his snowman head(if i wouldve fell for this, one user would have said "nvm" or somethin like that, so ripped off

It is a common scam in all mmo's.

I dont feel sorry for people who falls for this as they are basically trying to cheat the guy wanting to buy the snowmans head in the first place assuming that he wanted it legit.
