bound items?
No, because then someone could have 4 godly mord hru necro whatever rings, and move to a server where only one clan can kill those bosses. This takes away from the success of thw clan who has held all drops so far

You should have to earn your raid loot on the server it came from, it shouldnt move

Why are you so centered on clan loot and competition? If you earned your loot on one server than you should perfectly have the chance to move to another server. It's not gonna affect the top clan on the other server whatsoever and he could possibly join it.
You have your view of Avalon and you're blind to other point of views. Great clans come and go, don't be stubborn.

It would have to have a massive cool down period like 1-2 months and no items or gold or anything but the base character should transfer. Bound and no trade quest items could stay on the worlds they were created in for the player should they come back. Otherwise lvl 200+ toons will band up into interworldclans and take every mord, every hrung, every necro on every world. Griefing and disease will spread to every server.

Horrible, horrible, horrible idea. It will concentrate power and undo entire worlds.

But it will give those who wish to start over again a new chance as well as having a safe way to transfer out. I like the idea of just xferring items and gold over to another world. God knows how unfair things would be if a certain class would converge in a different server.

Only gold should be transferable. No items, no characters.

This solves several issues:
  1. Rare items stay on their worlds, thus maintaining their rarity.
  2. Boss drops stay on their worlds, thus maintaining clan integrity.
  3. A group of high level characters cannot transfer to a world where a boss is due and kill it.
  4. Less scamming now that there is a direct way to transfer gold.
It is easy to make gold transferable: just make gold like platinum—tied to an account, not a character.

I might want to try a server transfer if offered. But if it were implemented the way pigman or swan said, i would never do it. I've been playing this game for 3 years next month, and i dont want to lose all my stuff because i would like a change of pace. I would rather start completely over than lose all the stuff i worked 3 years to get. If it were done this way, OTM might as well not do it at all and save themselves the headache :|

I only think people should be switching servers if they are 100% committed to leaving their server behind, including all the items they gained there
