Re: Druid reqs for 200

(time to get bashed, ouch)

But here is my point. It has nothing to do with this topic lol.

It's about gearing a character up. Maybe its a fun idea to try to gear every character in lugh as good as possible. as we all know a few people have alot of stuff in their inventory they don't even use( including me). Shouldnt we make a rule like: u can only win better stuff then what u have atm? example: you have a void grimoire of flame. and aggy does drop a shadow grimoire of flame. let the people who already have a better weapon(like void grimoire in this case) pass the roll. This way people who actually need the drop have a better chance to win it

well, crush me now like a tiny bug :D

No but yes. Lugh is an open server so there are really no requirements to give drops. We just do it to be nice. Forcing people would be going down the crappy path of dominant clans. Plus it will kill the economy. If someone wins a second or 3rd drop they won't use they will generally sell it. If you or others are sitting on stuff then... Whatever. It's just collecting dust. Sell it, trade it, or donate it. But it's ultimately up to the owner. When you get to be a higher level your reputation will follow you and you'll receive more or less help based on it.

though off topic, the idea of limiting drops to players based on what they have is a clan decision not a server decision. as pointed out, if someone tried to tell me (or any ancients) they i couldnt roll for a +7 ring cause i had a +8 ring (or i couldnt roll for a bloothorn charm cause i had a camo charm and was only allowed one) i think you would start seeing clans vie for dominance and just take a large portion of kills leaving others in the dust.

we used to be a bit like that in update 2 (berserkers vs. ancients) and certainly we have heard the aweful stories regarding other servers.

as for druid level, since it keeps coming up, remember that the big difference between the druid healing and other support skills is that healing is cumulative whereas expose, lures, bash, bolas, etc. do not stack. every druid needs natures touch, but only one rogue needs expose weakness.

and while this boss might be easier than garanak, we should have a policy that we can easily apply to the next boss (yule) and beyond. Having the general level be 10 below the boss (190 in this case) with 15 below for druids seems reasonable given their different roles.
