I think yes: there are almost definitely aliens, whether they be demons, dragons, a variant form of humans whatever, that there are aliens.
However, judging by how big we estimate the *observable* universe to be, i doubt we will come in contact with them often

To whoever said that there were probably aliens, but they were single celled bacteria, thats most likely true and not true. If aliens are real, then there are probably some alien worlds consisting of only single celled bacteria, but at the same time, theres probably alien civilizations way more advanced than us. And as to what Dexxa says, i also think that they wouldnt pay attention to (if theyre more advanced) less evolved society, unless it was for the purpose of intergalactic credits or whatever form of money they would use.

I hope they aren't "interested" in us. Hmmm, lots of resources this world has, lets take it over with our greater might!!!!

I think science fiction has over the years raised our expectations of other intelligent lifeforms ( if they exist that is...)

I do not believe we will ever come in contact with any aliens. Do I have any strong and valid backing for this belief? Nope! Then again, neither do you...

What you all hold are mere theories and conspiracies. I won't say its not entirely possible that other intelligent lifeforms exist; I'm just saying we won't be meeting them any time soon. Its a waste of efforts to look for them.

Convince me otherwise and I will come camp with you outside...waiting for the next alien invasion.

The rover to Mars, curiosity, was sent to look for carbon, which would therefore prove that aliens exist.
There was carbon, so they CAN possibly exist as carbon based life forms!

Each Galaxy supports 1-5 earth-like planets.
Earth isn't rare.

Due to the black hole theory, astronomers believe that aliens could have controlled this, instead of a black hole (we have no proof they exist)
So, black holes may be ruled out!

It always amused me how none us can even form sentences with "alien" in them without adding in phrases such as "could have" or "may be" or "might be" or "they can..." or "almost definitely" or "I think" or "most likely" or "probably" or "likely" or "chance" or ....shall I go on? (by the way, all those phrases were found by quickly and effortlessly glancing over this thread.) Anyone can talk probability or possibility...Its nothing to cook up a belief over though. I think its best that I quote my quote that loca cola quoted:

That being said, I neither strongly oppose nor strongly support the existence of other intelligent life-forms. I would just let it all play out, if there is even anything to come out and play...eh...

C) Sorr to burst yer bubble, most galaxy's have more than 7-29 planets, unless yer takin about quasars in which case i sonr know if thats true.
D) So black holes are over 3+b lightyears across (i think thats right for the size of the observable universe, most likely more), and if it is, how do we know what the "other side" of black holes look like? Just because somethin is shaped like something doesnt mean it is that something.

E) Black holes could also be wormholes, we dont know that. Hey look, i can do pointless theories too!

Like I said, black holes haven't been proved. Neither have wormholes

well they have discovered the very strong gravitational pull and the horizon line. so you could say that scientist are on their way to proving it.
wormholes however, I'm indifferent. we discover them, yay! good for us. I'll probably be dead by the time we have the guts and tech to send someone through em if they're real.

Stupidest thing I've ever heard, how would you feel if it was one of your family members being sent through, knowing that they would most probably die, you would hamster pellets bricks, think about it, is it really worth someone's life?

Of course it' s not worth a life. Thats why we have robots!
