How would YOU balance classes?

#1
We see it all the time. Classes aren't balanced this, classes aren't balanced that. Do I disagree? Not necessarily; but I think the class balance everyone is asking for is pretty damn near unattainable for now. Why, you might ask? Well, I think that the main problem with balanced classes is that nobody gets balanced groups anymore. Sure, for bosses everyone likes to come together and carry out their individual roles for it, but then when it's back to lixing everyone chooses to solo with their lixes and pots. Because of this, support classes have a hard time getting up to level and often just decide to switch to rogue or warrior. How this could be fixed, I only have my own opinion, but how do you think classes could be altered to make them more balanced? Personally, I think it would be beneficial to have at least a support and a DPS build for each class. Maybe a set DPS, Support, or Hybrid classification, each with their own bonuses, that can be changed with a new book or quest.

Anyways, what specifically do you think could be done to balance classes more?

Mages-Best Dps lowest armour
Druids-Second best dps second lowest armour*
Rogues- Solid Armour solid dps
Rangers- Great armour lower dps (try shooting a bow and arrow in real life that fast)
Warriors- Massive armour lowest dps
Simple
Implement better attack a druid should be a master of damage imo*

I completely disagree with u
Mages: Same (great dps lowest armor)
Rogues: same skills same armor (solid)
Rangers: Add 1 or two more dps skills (strength skills needed). Be good dps but still lesser then that of rogue or mage
Druid: Higher armor same skills (druids r support not dps in endgame)
Warrior: super high armor lowest dps

Problem is removing what classes have will make the u4 sigil debacle look friendly. Massive amounts of people would rage quit and it would probably ruin OTMs bottom line.

The best way would be to add some new skills imo. Personally I would give:

Druids: help out thier dps a bit - they could use a decent skill with a faster cast/cd. The main problem is they dont solo well it's painfully slow and this is the reason all worlds are suffering a shortage of them. Make thier dot do damage on cast in stead of waiting a full 5 second tick for first damage. They could get a revamp on spring to life, rescue, harvest because these skills are nearly useless as is.

Mages: they are pretty good with good equips. Perhaps freeze could be tweaked a bit for them to solo well. Sacrifice is nearly useless and energy shield should be un nerfed a bit back to what it was in u3. Perhaps even combine slash and crush lures as basically no one uses these.

Rangers: they need the most help imo. They could use some better dps skills - perhaps some actual spear build skills. Skewer is nearly useless, sharp shot and longshot need work also. Entangle is good but the cd is too long for it to be useful - bosses already resist it like crazy. The group cloak (defensive spikes) is nice but needs a minor damage buff since its unlikely all in the group are being attacked seperately. Explosive arrow needs a bit of a boost. There are no useful weapon drops untill the despoiler and dl weapons - they get the shortest stick of all classes here.

Warriors: overall they are pretty good. I'm not sure id do too much to them. They can tank or do great dps depending on the gear and build. Overall they have fewer worthless skills than any other class. Sweeping blow needs a bit of a tweak. Perhaps make a better bandage wounds that is a bit less interruptable for just warriors.

Rogues: also pretty good as is. Play dead could be made useful and distract needs some tweaking. Overall not bad right now in my opinion.

I would:

Decrease spell dmg fluctuation of mages, make bolt insta
Give ss a cast time of 2 secs
Make bash hit hard
Make sharp insta and scale with str
Make dmg DoTs stack
Give all classes in combat passive regen which is higher for mages and druids and scales with level

This is a quick summary of what i feel are the most important changes that need to be made, there are many more

Mages --> Skill energy cost reductions, or huge boost in energy boost/sacrifice. Fire bolt insta-cast.

Druids --> Skill energy cost reductions, or huge buff in energy harvest. Lightning strike insta-cast.

Warriors --> Seem fine IMO.

Rogues --> Shadowstrike 1 second cast time. Make rend do poison damage over time, with small decrease in damage.

Rangers --> Sharp shot based on strength, or deals poison damage. Barbed shot poison damage over time.

that's pretty solid I could deal with this. Druids need some more power.

Sharp shot should be Str but also instacast without interrupting auto, like a ranged quick strike. Imo it should be pierce still of it's str based, poison would be too good. Otherwise this is solid
