Depends on your strengh. Pummel also, is not on weapon swing timer and has a faster cooldown then swing. Just on that basis alone it is my opinion, pummel is superior. However, I use both bc I am spear build with Ymirs spear at lvl 184.

The funny thing is Ymir's spear out performs ancient wyrmbone spear with axe offhand lol.

Imo gs is a joke. The cool down and cast time are long, takes more energy and in my experiences does about the same damage, or at least not a big enough difference to consider it being better in any way. Gs is probably better for pvp though because pummel sucks with pvp. Pummel on the other hand is low energy, can hit high, has a fast cool down time and is SUPER effective on spider bosses for this event, granted that will be useless in future

Pummel isnt always weak on pvp, definitely weak against other warriors tho (usually weaker than melee on rogues and rangers with good armour). Pummel hits decently on mages, and on pvp shatter lasts for 10 secs (pve 8, yes it isnt meant to be that way) so pummel hits twice per one shatter in pvp.

All gs is, is a sup'ed up auto attack its on the same timer. Pummel is not on the weapon swing timer. It will always put perform. If the cast time and cool down of gs was halved it might be able to compete more with that skill.

The cooldown of giant swing (20 secs) isnt as much of a problem as it's casting time which is horrible, also it flacuates way too much.

Feel like giant swing is good if you have the best weps since it goes off wep ad melee dmg, but pummel better for endgame as it goes of str while str doesnt help gs all that much.

I use a shadow halberd and it's still pretty bad, so unless it's buffed by slash damage for some stupid reason pummel is MUCH better

Yes I said pummel is better at endgame...

EG or not it doesn't matter, gs takes WAY too long to cast/cool down and you could auto or do another pummel in the time it takes for you to be able to cast it again. Maybe I misread your previous post, idr my thought process behind it but either way pummel is superior in just about every way EXCEPT pvp. Pvp is the only place where gs actually takes advantage

I use both, im lvl187 and I can hit up to 5k+ pummel and i bearly hit 4k giant swing i use both but if you can only fit enouth points in for one skill I'd use pummel its a lower energy cost and recast time to fast.
