No I actually agree with you on some parts of it by way of the skill set of rangers needs looked into and the attributes that strengthen them.
I just don't think the comparison of different classes will ever match up as they are different classes after all

Not true. Dl quivers divine damage favors the bow over spear build.

The ranger he is talking about probably did not have the quiver.
DL quiver is only a big advantage on chaos mobs. On regular mobs, damage would be about the same with the comparison I made.

The ranger i am refering too is cornflakes, 197 ranger who has full dl plus bow and quiver. He said himself spear is better DPS on most mobs. (Raid bosses being exception)

Ahh cornflakes. For any dl boss, Quiv wins by far. For anything else, the spear trumps. But a void spear is almost 1/100 chance of dropping it seems. Dl quiver is much more realistic to have Rangers with. A dl Bow and Quiv will beat a shadow spear ranger, so it is a close call

Honestly, Rangers are the cheapest class to level and will be (imo) very useful after the idol nerf. Although let us wait and see.

That's a generic statement that could be said of any class with the right luxury items and build. I see a bountiful of rangers on my world stuck at lvl 130-150 range because they find it extremely difficult to continue soloing with just a super knowledge elixir and a haste.

Rangers may seem like a cheap class to level, but it has it's ups and downs. In my opinion it's easy at low levels, hard at mid levels and gradually becomes easier as you hit 190.

They don't have paperthin armor but they can heal. Sure it may take more sk to lvl and time but at the same time you don't waste restos with lightheal and bolas. I used over 4000 resto lvling a mage to 190... Not fun. Started lvling with a ranger at 175 and the amount of restos i used per lix was 75% less

I just leveled my mages up to 190 on trolls and I didn't have pots.. Used heroic e elixir and never ran outta e also didn't die that much.. Idk what you did wrong lol. I also have a 192 ranger and let me tell you in Rhiannon we kill necro with a full group of rogues on necro and a full group of rangers in the corner shooting not once have we beat the rogues to lock so the rangers will beat the rogues to lock 8 vs 8 is complete bull whoever said that. Also the rangers are the most economic class to level is another bs level a ranger to 190 and see if you still have that opinion.

I agree, I personally would say rogues are most economic if played right because it will take significantly less elixers to get to 190 compared to the slow ranger.

Well said if played right, because there are so nubs that don't know what they are doing. I had two rogue friends beat me to 190 and used quite less elixirs than I did.
