How do you feel about my take on damage at an instant vs. damage over time?
Rogues would still be the top DPS but as a function of time rather than the undisputable king he currently is. Additionally, it would make mages the "glass cannon" and raise rangers and warriors' DPS to a competitive level.
I agree with that
Mages should win all short term fights
Rangers and warriors a 5-10 minute fight, rogues anything over that
I hope OTM can take something away from this thread !I understand that perfectly. I don't think they should be good being as other support skills and a heal are Dex basedSkills aren't even as effective with a pure DEX build. That is something that a person who has never played an end game ranger will understand.Everybody says to increase rogue survivability by losing dps and using survivability skills. Same thing goes for rangers you can afford to lower your autos a bit and make it so tor skills work, you just choose not too.
Story of my life! I don't farm on my ranger unless my rogue is in arena. That's another side of rangers that I honestly can't stand but it can't be fixed.Rogues on a staff = shadowstrike quickstrike fast farming and useful skills
Rangers on a staff = better hope that's one sweet staff cause they don't do crap.

Please read the entire thread before firing off a false assumption.so why do people compare rangers and rogues? They are completely different classes, why don't you make a rogue?
