i see nothing wrong with exclusions for those who do not follow our established modes of conduct - who purposely interfere with the enjoyment of others - whether by scamming, abusive language, or killing you after you have waited for hours for killain.

the route of using block and support is not satisfactory - so as a community, i think it is ok to come up with other potential solutions. Temporary banning seems a natural solution. if they wont conform to our norms in some of our cooperative aspects of play (like waiting patiently in line for killain and respecting the order) then i see no reason to include them in other cooperative aspects of our game.

of course, once the bad behavior stops (which, for some things, is not too hard to determine), they are welcome back.

OTM has given us a framework of the possible. we get to decide how we choose to use it.

It seems that anyone who offers a different opinion...
Other than agreeing to exclusion... Is subject to a fairly harsh response.

I have seen a number of posts implying that the roll exclusion should be expanded to others who associate with the original two. This is precisely the risk ... Creating two classes .. Those that can roll (the special people) and those that can't (the outcasts.)

This appears to be precisely the route to dominant clan syndrome.

So much for fair and open debate.
this is very open, and also fair. you can post at any time.

And it appears you are upset you proposed letting players that have interrupted game-play as well as verbally abused the good people of lugh AND broken our laws, should just be allowed to dice like the rest,
-Dont let me forget, they also should get special privileges to kill in the arena those that are patiently camping.

your plan is great, here's your three tenets.

1. unban scammers and ksers as well as arena killers & dl buyers. and let them take our drops.
2. Let people kill campers in the arena if they want, if they have a pvp build they should be allowed to attack us.
3. if someone commits a lughian crime, dont ban them, just reason with them.

yep Ill stick with the current rules. ty

So basically if someone does a crime(this is even virtual...) they have to go to jail for the rest of their lifes? That would be dumb. Ofcourse they were annoying, but i don't know what you have called reasoning with them? That applies for both partys by the way. And your taking barna his arguments way out of perspective. And just a question about this topic. Did they try to buy dl or did they really buy dl. And if they did so, who sold it to them?

What exactly were the results of the vote? Is there an official tally of the numbers? Or was it concluded that an agreement of the 8 or 10 was enough to speak for the entire server of hundreds?

As far as I can see having read through all of the posts ... any dissenting opinions are summarily squashed. Many of the smarter players who see this process simply choose to stay out of the discussion because they do not want to be branded as a sympathizer with the malefactors.

My assertion was and remains ... That a small kabal of special people should not speak for the entire server ... Especially when the server dynamics are at risk. Show the tally of votes please. How many were for and against exclusion in this official voting process?

If you keep layering new rules over top of the OTM sanctioned ones, and then choose to police those rules by roll banning ... You will arrive at dominant clan where the only way to win drops on lugh will be to be part of the special group. Or you will need to band together and clan kill.

Sure you don't like theses guys ... No disagreement that their behavior warrants a response. Pursue sanctions with OTM. Have proof they scammed someone? Take that to support. Are they verbally abusing other players? Ok ... take it to OTM. There are official documented policies and punishments for abuses published by OTM.

But do not create an environment where the server begins to have factions competing for lock group.

Keep Lugh cooperative!
No subjective exclusions, and no exclusions by association on drops.

Rules have been made for a reason, and if we don't "punish" people who doesn't respect them, then why would everyone respect rules ? A temporary ban would be best for the beginning but if they keep doing bad stuff, then there's no other choice than a ban with no time limit :/
