Hi there, just following up on the app crashes, what device is this happening on and did you see any pattern to when it was crashing? Any information would be greatly appreciated as we can identify the issue and fix the crashes.

First gen iPad. No pattern. I always opened from the hotbar. Sometimes as soon as I click the chest icon the app crashed before any mystery chest screen popped up. Others the first screen popped up then it crashed. Others it crashed after getting one item and there were still others to get. I have other examples of crashes in bug reports forum. iPad 1 ios 5.1.1

i also use ipad 1 and when i opened yule event chests it crashes a lot i dont know how many items i lost due to this . can u fix this otm

I was hoping more people would do this, I just find it interesting.

This is awesome work. With a large number of chests, like 200, you can add up all the loot give it a price and then divide by the chests to get a reasonable expectation of average chest worth.


Now it's not going to include über rare mounts or 1k plat prizes but when you divide by the thousands it would take to reasonably get one it dosent add a ton of value as you might expect. It's also a better expectation for a small amount of chests. It helps me decide how much im willing to pay.

Ok so i entered all the chests and contents into a spreadsheet and did the math... I skipped the ones that crashed so have 159 chests listed i got as totals (note total items not boxes/crates and though pots and idols come in 10 and 50 boxes they didnt say so I counted all as 50 so the expected value may be off perhaps half a k)

Prices on my world
bp bank 2k a box sigils 5k a box platinum 375 gold per (about 15k each for chests) nerf idols 75g pots 200 sks 4k hks 10k combo 8k wis 500 energy health attack arm def run lix 1k ea hastes 3k each alt 4k reb 8k

going off that the total for all chests was 2,219,250 gold in 159 chests for an expected value of 13,957 gold not counting fashion

Fashion and extras included
green legs, yellow top, orange top, star green gloves, white legs, turq boot, red legs, orange legs, turq gloves, yellow gloves, most common harp, pink wig, white crest, black top, orange legs, plat wig orange crest, star pink top x2, spark light brown wig, spar plat glen wig, green top, yellow gloves, common lute, green boot, orange boot

lets just say 15k each for the fashion on average (not very easy to price fashion) that makes for 25 items and 2 instruments (not really worth much) and a blue rod also not worth too much.

This adds perhaps 375k onto the pile and over 159 chests adds 2.3k to the expected value.

So buying chests for 15K should, on average, on my world, let you break even in the long run - or perhaps even profit slightly if you are a good fashion seller.

to be honest i initially thought the expected value would be closer to 10k a chest.

thanks for this you made it easier for me to run with prices on my world. And I think we can reasonably assume a mount in 1000 chests so an average price for that of mabye 800k

Bah, i passed on my 3rd chest.
first : pots crate
second : 5 e sigs and 5 hastes
third : 10k

Then told the one who sold me to not sell me again so I wont get addicted

I opened a lot more chests and updated original post with my results.

Lol the rarity of some of the items is too muchI can't believe you've opened 926 chests, gotten 0 mounts, no more than 10k or 330 plat and only 3 white pieces of fashion

Doing calculations now... Everything except the fashion is worth 8.6mil. That means to break even at 15k per chest my fashion would need to all sell for 5m which I don't see happening :/
