Barna I thought u were a cool dude but it's become apparent that your dumb.. We have made these rules since Lugh was made and tHese rules help our server be a really good one, if There breaking all our rules then we are defo gonna ban them and not let them roll for anything once they get there act together and actually stop being jerks then we will let them roll again, u make me mad sticking up for them your stupid and obviously don't get it. srry for sounding like a jerk too but damn Man why can't u just see that these rules we created are for the best?
If you disagree with the roll banning approach and explain in great detail why...

You will still be called "dumb" and will be accused of sticking up for the bad guys.

I do not defend their actions. I disagree with the solution and the process which is biased and predecided.

The rules were developed for a further regulation of our server, they were molded to what OTM wouldnt interfere with, aka, ksers, drop steallers and various things allowed in game but are quite frustrating.

We banned the 2 players for one single reason, they were interfering with players dailies. This was due to the arena being involved. One of the rules that doesnt usually get a mention is that players cant be killed in arena if theyre doing their daily. This was agreed upon back in update 3 when arena first came out.

We have refined most of our rules and learnt that some things otm will step in and warn players, such as harassment, scamming, and glitch abuse. But these have and always will be restricted, it still allows for a chaotic server when we need a peaceful server.

Now how do we police it?

We cant ask for items, we cant ask for plat, we cant do much really, 2 wrongs dont make a right so thats revenge out of the window. What else is there?

Banning dicing during any boss applicable. With this depending on the offence and whether it reoccurs, depends on how long their ban lasts.
The players in question if they decided to play nice for a month their ban couldve been lifted, but at the rate theyre going theyll be banned for a long time to come.

Ok lukov

I respect your answer and accept that there is a majority in favor of the ban. I still have reservations about roll banning as it leaves the malefactors running about to potentially create further damage. I would have preferred to see OTM take official action in the form of a suspension. However .. As the numbers appear at least to favor the ban ... So be it.

If this is the main reason half of lugh should be banned. How is it only these two get banned then? ofcourse they did more, but don't say this is just the main reason that they got banned. If so i am starting to think these bans are becoming too subjective. I have seen a few high level players blocking lower levels from their dailys just because the other standed in them for example. How is it no one bothers with that? And almost all the answers in this topic are causes or some story's from the past, not solutions. can someone explain me why? Title says ALTERNATIVE SOLUTIONS. doesnt mean we immediatley going to use them. just alternate solutions.

View from an outsider here

Lugh has rules, the server is governed by a coalition of endgame players spanning accross multiple clans. The rules that this governing force of the lugh servers will never be enforced by otm as it is none of otms business or care how each server interacts with itself. This coalition system is what makes lugh the most unique server imo, and it has to fall to the players to enforce the rules that were decided on as a server.
It makes no sense to allow people to ignore those rules, they will never be banned by otm and if it is allowed to happen, more people will start breaking rules as there is no consequence. The only way to prevent further issues is to make an example of the players with a permenant ban. Similar to the scammed camo charm case where the purchaser of scammed items is held accoubtable is shows a zero tolerance policy that ensures the majority follow the rules

Quite a bit of tolerance has been shown tbh. At this point it is pretty obvious what the players in question think of the system. They will continue to behave just as they have before. BUT, if any player can think of a better "alternative solution" that will cause them to change their behavior, it would be great. In any case, a ban is never intended to be permanent. The idea behind disciplinary action like a ban is to convince players to behave. After a bit, and of course contingent on better behavior, they should be reinstated.
