Got a interesting bug:

When you zoom in till first person mode, operations goes quite off:
To beginn with: on reaching 1st person mostly viewport rotates 90deg (right if i remember correct).
Next: damage numbers are highly delayed and erratic. hand to hand on a dummy they started at half and went on for some time after target being destroyed.
And 3rd: Sometimes wayfinding routine seems to give up. Instead of attacking my toon walks to the mob, through him and quite some way on, then moves back again and further back than starting in a sort of slow bumping zoom motion. This movement is an infinite loop that is not broken even when you zoom out again. Then animation shown is toon turning at the endpoints of this walk. Had this at the 3 dummies near ley and with a skullcrusher on northern pen. There the movement is across the full width appr. At the rogue starter dummies in castle the effect was a bit different: view approached in tiny jumps but with the same result.


And the most important "MeToo"
Usually it takes a min or so to see any people, npcs and mobs after going near.
Also this display lag plays some tricks on items. Switched from wand to stormskimmer and was mounted on the wand for a minute (which doesnt look appropiate for underageds btw) before all of a sudden the skimmer got displayed.
Some related observations: start gear settings does NOT help at all. Players seem to show up faster than NPC. Some seem to be visible in castle when i enter, some take ages. Not sure if the latter are the ones i didnt meet before.
Banker is especially notoriously hidden.

Ha some of these posts r funny like the one about the idols lol u guys don't get it do u, otm r like the government, they don't care about there customers just like the govenment don't care about its citizens. All they care about is making money (profit ppl) but u still get mugs buying plat in this game when there is so many things wrong with it. I haven't bought plat for a long time because they just don't care about us enough to want to fix things, sure I may spend 69pence if I needed a rebirth book or alt. How long have invisible mobs been around and how many times has the server gone down because of maintenance, is the problem fixed yet? NO!

Actually this is the funniest post I have seen so far...and also the most ill-informed lol.

OTM is doing all they can to make this game the best it can be. Sure, they want to make money, but so does everyone else who has a job. Yes, there are bugs. But OTM has fixed hundreds so far in just the past few days.

What invisible mobs are you talking about? Where are they? Give OTM some information and they will do something about it.

The reason that the servers have gone down for maintenance so much, because their other options are to
1. Take the servers down completely for a week or so and fix the bugs. Sure no one will be able to play, but those few people who don't like playing with bugs won't have to.
2. Save all the bug fixes for just 1 or 2 resets a week, in which case there will be dozens more complainers like you who are upset about something that OTM has a fix for, but hasn't released because people don't like the resets.

So OTM is doing more resets because whenever they have a number of fixes in place, they implement them and see if it taks care of the bugs. A very good idea.

I think OTM has been doing an amazing job of fixing issues, especially since they weren't completely sure what would problems come up when the engine was released. If you are so sick of bugs, take a week or two long break from CH and let the bugs be fixed by OTM. But whatever you do, please don't rage on forums.

I think otm got caught in a trap here kind of, some of which was definately their fault though not worthy of yhe mass outrage.

Otm suck at deadlines, we all know that, it was to be expected from the start.
Beta, from what i saw was not nearly as organized as the u4 dragonfire beta. A lot was left up to the testers this time round and a lot pf tester feedback didnt get applied.
Thus, the engine wasnt polished enough for a full release, but otm needed to realease it to appease the hoard of angry players who have been waiting a year and a half.
So they released something that was not properly tested (we can argue back and forth forever why that happened) and there are problems with it. Otm are now working their asses off to fix these problems and while they maybe dont deserve to be worshipped for a late, broken release, they also dont deserve to be burnt at the stake.

I personally think they should cut their losses and revert back to the previous engine. It would be much more beneficial for the company. The more time players have to wait to be able to log in, the more they become irrate, and the more the company loses supporters and money. Graphics dont make a game. I would much rather see a greater focus on new in game content and items.


Yes... But OTM has said before that it is alot easier to implement new content with the new engine, so the only way of moving forwards is to have this new engine.

I beg to differ,

Had OTM listened to their player base and even the beta testers of U4 such as:
  • class balance
  • loot improvement
  • event variety
  • hat quest improvement
  • less platinum oriented
  • fixes to DL instead of the we can't fix current game stuff
    etc.
We would all be fine and grateful with the old engine. It was my favorite and I am not playing the new one sorry.
